Yo peeps, this is the official animal thread! There will be an animal of the week. Now, some rules so we don't get too off topic:
What you can post: -your fave animals -animals you'd like to see as animal of the week -more facts for teh animal of the week -how much you like the animal of the week -cool experiences with animals -zoo trips

What you CAN'T post: -how much another user's fave animal sucks -your least favorite animals. We don't know how ppl are going to say those (as in harshly or nicely) but if any are harshly I don't want anybody's feelings to get hurt. ;p -how much you hate this thread (roflz...XD) -what you had for breakfast (or other off-topic things. Yes, saying your naimal cracker is shaped like a camel is off topic. :p)
Kay, now that we've cleared that, I'll just make edit spaces, post the animal of the week, and I'll tell you when you can post! Thank you!

~Arctic Wolf~
Habitat: They live in North America, Alaska, and Nothern Canada. A few even live in New Zealand. Diet: During summertime they consume lemmings, birds, arctic hares, and sometimes catch fish. The cubs catch insects, ground squirrels, and other small creatures. They also may eat elk, mountain sheep, and sometimes berries. Fun Facts: -Canis lupis is the wolf's scientific name. -Arctic wolves talk to each other with their faces and tails. -Wolves can run 30 mph. -Wolves can eat up to 20 lbs of meat in one meal. -Wolves can smell from more than a mile away. Enemy Table Grizzly Bear- will steal packs' kill and sometimes eat the pups. Eagles and Hawks- will eat pups Hunters- will kill wolves' prey Humans- will kill wolves for their pelts or because they think the wolf will eat them. This is not true.

Facts: -The fennec is the smallest of the foxes with enormous ears, a tiny face, and a pointed snout. The fennec fox is cream in color with a long (3/4 of the head and body length) black-tipped tail. -It inhabits deserts and semi-deserts. Northern Africa, throughout the Sahara Desert, East to the Sanai Peninsula and Arabia -Life span averages 10-12 years. -Typically nocturnal. [Thanks Snowpaw for fact]
DIET: Mostly carnivorous, diet includes insects, snails, lizards, rodents, birds, eggs, and plant matter (fruits and berries).
~Okapi~
Facts: -The okapi is a cross between a zebra and a giraffe. If you take a look at its body shape, you'll see the giraffe. I hope I don't have to explain the zebra... XD -The okapi has a life span of over 30 years. -Okapi is correctly prnounced "Oh-cop-pee", although many say "oh-ka-pee". -Like the giraffe, the okapi has a very long tongue which is uses to pull leaves off of trees.

Sweet! i think look funny with the giant ears but they're also very cool u should do a caiman (i think that's how u spell it) as animal of the week cuz not many people know about them. they're like miniture alligators/crocodiles. My favorite animal is the crocodile.
