"Well..." Gracesong nervously searched for another excuse, "The Warriors are never back. They're always out walking, hunting, blowing off steam, etc." Her deep eyes gazed at him. Could he REALLY fall for a cat like her?

Mothpaw shuffled her paws in the deep snow. "I don't know. He's a warrior. I'm an apprentice..." Her voice dropped. "We can't be meant to be..." She reminded herself it could be possible if StarClan sent a sign. But how could StarClan possibly approve?

Ebonycloud made his way to the river. Standing beside the flowing water he consentrated. His eyes focused on the fish swimming. With a swift movement he caught one and flug it on to the land. He finished it off in one quick move. He smiled and turned to where Mothpaw would have been watching. His smile quickly faded as he remembered he wasn't hunting with her today. His heart dropped a littld and he sighed. Slowly he padded back ot the river and waited for another fish.
