He grabbed his black backpack, called a hasty goodbye to his mom, and nearly sprinted to school. Entering the school property, he went straight to where he knew Lexi would be. He half-ran up to her and said breathlessly, "Hi."

Ryota tilted his head sideways for a moment, as if not sure what she meant. "Oh yeah!" he suddenly exclaimed. He squeezed her hand and looked straight into her eyes, his black eyes meeting her hazel ones. "D'you want to go to the dance with me?" he asked in all seriousness. He didn't even smile; his face was emotionless.

Taylor quickly typed up a responce.

Ryota gasped quietly. "No, Lex, no...please don't..." He pulled her to his chest, wrapping his arms around her. "I really want to go with you," he murmured close to her ear. He hesitated for a moment, then kissed her cheek gently. "Don't be sorry, hun..."
