Flazestar stood and stretched her tired muscles; she shouldn't have been tired; it was a beautiful sight outside. Nodding a stout, "Good-bye," to Featherstorm, she padded to the narrow path leading to the safe place. "Things happen; life should go on," whispered Flazestar, fully aware she was talking to herself. "But i know him so well... He was with us when we found the camp. What will we do?" She purred to herself with grim feelings. Closing her eyes, she was in front of the safe place, eyes closed. As they opened, she took a step. After another blink, another step. She didn't know why, but the pattern she held at the moment was amusing and confusing at the same time.

Firepaw watched as she left. "be right back..." he murmured softly. He ran outside and chased after flazestar. "Flazestar! " he called. He saw her and ran by her, stopping quickly and almost falling. He went infront her and looked at her. "flazestar..." he began softly. Then his voice grew louder. "I'm going to find him for you." he looked at the ground, thinking for a moment. Then he looked back up. "thAt's a promise." he said proudly. "and I'm keeping it until I find him!"

Flazestar smiled proudly at the young apprentice. She licked the top of his head in a motherly way and mewed weakly, "I am sure you will, Firepaw. And I know you will be a wonderful warrior one day." She closed her eyes and opened them slowly. Then she blinked quickly, with a blank expression. Yawning, she motioned for Firepaw to follow after her. "If you'd like to help so much, Firepaw dear, I'd suggest talking to Thornleaf... He was the last one to see Owlscar." Flazestar's voice hung in the air after she uttered the name of the mission tom.
