Authors Note: This book takes place right after Firestar and Sandstorm leave. I do not own Warriors; they are the property of Erin Hunter. I am guessing that Sagekit and Mintkit are about two moons old. If I am wrong, tell me.

Leafstar watched as Firestar and Sandstorm walked off into the distance. She would be forever grateful of what they did for their clan, but it was time for them to return home.

After a while, she turned around and walked back into the cave. As she looked around she could see her warriors sitting against one wall eating some fresh-kill and talking. In another corner there was Rockpaw, Bouncepaw, and Tinypaw eating and chattering excitedly, wondering what their first day of training would be like. Petalnose was in the nursery taking care of her kits.

She wandered over to Echosong, her medicine cat, who was sitting there eating on her own.

On her way there, she picked up her own piece of fresh kill from the pile. She sat down by Petalnose and began to eat her prey.

Now that they are gone, do we have any chance?

Certainly, we will do alright without them.
