Do you get to choose mates like you do in the books? My friend Jaggedpine said that he got a mate. If so, how does a cat get a mate?

There really arent mates in this forum. We dont do that =D As for Jaggedpine, i dont exactly know why he has a mate but we do not have mates ;)
