Warrior Cats: The Four Clans

Let me get started...

Too high of expectations. It's infuriating. So maddening. I am in Band, and I have the capability to play about seven instruments, two of them at a chair two or one level. And then here comes the grades. If I get anything lower than an A-, my parents get mad at me. They expect too much of me. I'm a kid. I want to be free and have a little fun. Fool around in school with my friends. Live my life. But nope. Too high of expectations. And if I get a partner for a project, I usually end up doing all the work, the lazy bums. So we get like an A, while I did all the work. But that doesn't matter; oh no. As long as I got at least an A-, they're okay.

Disapproval of Friends. They disapprove of a lot of my really good friends. It annoys me so much. Like, the ones that they know are good kids can come over, but anyone they disapprove of... POOF! They can't be in my life anymore. So I rebel against my parents and stay friends with those kids, 'cause they're nice to ME. ME, not my parents, but ME. So they can tell me who I can hang out with and who I can't, but I don't necessarily have to follow them. So FOOIE! to them. I really like my friends I made this year, and they make me laugh, and support me. They're okay with who I am, and don't expect me to be any more than what I am in the present. So yeah. My parents can yell all they want. I'm not giving up any friends.

You've probably never seen this side of me. But this is me in real life.

My family is wacko. :l i swear they are... my mum is completely crazy and won't stay away from my friends, and she hates a lot of my friends... just because they're a little crazy and love adrenaline-rushes, and they get into trouble. believe me, they're not druggies or anything, but that's how my mom sees them... so she said, "if you want to hang out with them during school, i have to meet them." and i don't think she gets that, in middle school, you want people that understand you and accept you for who you are. that's my buds. they're guys, and wacko, but i love them. hahaha! not love-love, but as friends... and some of them i've known for quite a while! ten years or longer! hahaha!
Also, they won't let me quit some sports i don't like and they're making me continue with one of them. i have a good arm, and i can hit an amazing home run, but that doesn't mean i enjoy softball. actually, i hate it with a burning passion. there is no running what-so-ever, and that just screws up everything i worked for in field hockey and basketball! i actually enjoy running. the adrenaline, and the feeling of freedom when you run. i love that. but nope... i have to be an excelent student, musically talented, and sporty. fun.
You see, academically, i'm pushed to exceed what i would normally do, which isn't always a bad thing. but sometimes it's my 'rents who are pushing me. farther than i wanted to originally go. in math, it was a miracle i got an a, and for the last term i wanted to get an a+, so i got it from working hard myself. in my other subjects however, i was pushed to do good. and musically, i guess i'm a natural musician... i play the piano not by the name of the note but by the sound (or where the note is placed on the page, no duh), and i was first flute and then i played piccolo and now i'm learning a double-reed instrument, and i want to learn the saxophone because i have friends that play it and i love the sound, but everything is too much already. so i can't do a lot of the things i want to do. and to add to that, my family is wacko. crazy. and i'm very pressured. fun.
