Hello and welcome to my short story thing. Please comment and read!! ~the silver moon wolf~....
"mama, is it really true?" the young golden pup barked as he watched his mothers blue eyes watch the silver moon. "my little flower, I didn't mean to worry you. It is only a story." his mother whispered in her normally calm voice. "but mama, if the silver moon wolf is real, would it haunt the forest or protect it?" the young pups eyes grew bright with fear and excitement. His mothers pelt glowed bright under the moon light as she looked down at her cub. "by dear, there is no need to worry. Even if the silver moon wolf was real...." she stopped for a moment and thought. She knew the story so well and how the silver moon wolf could easily destroy the forest, but she wasn't going to actually say it. She finished, "it would bring peace to the forest. The silver moon wolf is no evil spirit darlin'." the pups mother bent down and nudged her baby. "now get some sleep, nayza. You need some rest." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nayza is a young golden pup. Her eyes as green as the forest. She always had believed her mothers stories, even if her mother was saying they were fake. But nayza knew that her mother was hiding something about the silver moon wolf. She has heard so many different stories about the spirit from many other wolves. But which one would be true?...
Nayza slowly opened her eyes and looked up at the dark blue sky. It was still dark outside. She turned and looked at her mother. With a yawn, she stood up quitly. Her ears pressed up and she looked at the dark path in the forest. "maybe the silver wolf spirit is real, or maybe it fake." she slowly took a few steps on the rocky path and than quickened her pace. She wondered through the shadowy forest, feelig skalked every time she took a step. She stopped as she saw a light from the corner of her eyes. Nayza turned her head to see a huge glowing lake. Fish splashing and jumping. The lake glowed bright under the moon light. She turned her gear a little more and saw a wolf. A silver wolf. It's pelt as silver and shiney as the moon. It's eyes glowed red and bright as it watched the fishes play. The wolf almost looked like it was see through. As if she could see the trees behind it with looking behind it. Just look through it and the trees were there! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Her eyes became wide. She looked at it's tail. It stretched wide and it was shaped strange. Than, she reliezed. "are you....the silver moon wolf spirit?" nayza barked. The wolf looked up, it's wide red eyes staring at her. It slowly walked towards her. It showed it huge fangs and howled. The howl was so loud it echoed through the forest. Nayza felt the need to run but...her paws felt frozen to the ground. She looked down and saw that....they really were! Ice covored her paws.
Her eyes widened and she looked at the wolf as it jumped up to her. It's jaw opened wide and nayza shut her eyes. Seconds later, nothing seemed to happen. She opened her eyes and saw her mother. Her mother. The silver moon Wolfs huge jaw sank down on her neck. "mama!" she screamed! Her mother shook him off and but to the silver moon wolfs glowing chest. Nayzas mother pulled something out of it's chest and silver moon yowled. A blood chilling yowl. As it dissapeared the eyes on nayzas paws did too. Her mother fell to the ground. "mama!" she screamed again and ran to her.
"don't worry....darling....the silver moon wolf....is gone...." nayza began to cry and she curled up with her mom as she died.
