I haz recently came up with a new story...sort of. Still working on the plot and characters but here's what I got so far.
Blue waves lapped against the sandy shore. Beautiful sparkling shells were scattered about the white sand beach. The beach soon became a grassy field with hills that rose and fell. In the distance, a lone train weaved its way through the hills. White smoke billowed in large puffs that came in intervals from its two small chimneys which were positioned near the front of the train and rolled across the ruby colored metal that made up the train before rising into the sky. From above, the locomotive looked like a red snake winding its way around the emerald hills.
The railroads lead the train straight into a cave. The shining red machine thundered into the cavernous entrance, its roar gradually fading as it moved deeper into the dark tunnel. Soon, the sound was gone and the train never reappeared at the other end of the cave. The wind blew and the birds chirped but the chugging of the train was never heard again.
Cars rolled across the wet pavement, hitting puddles and scattering droplets all over the sidewalk and unlucky pedestrians. Crows sat perched on top of street lights and buildings waiting some small scrap of food to fall from where ever. Gray clouds and a light rain made the semi busy intersection look gloomy. A Denny's diner sat nestled in a corner next to an old, small hotel and the entrance ramp of the freeway. Across the street was an assortment of stores.
Shiny new cars and old dented ones rolled up to the intersection just beyond the Denny's and stopped, waiting for their turn. As a maroon Prius drove towards the short line of assorted cars, the lights at the old railroad crossing came to life and demanded the car stop immediately. The driver, confused and startled, slammed on his brakes and his egg shaped car screeched to a halt. Several other cars had to do the same behind him.
The angry red lights continued to flash and bell chime. Soon, the sound of a large engine chugging away was heard. A red blur raced across the tracks, shaking the road as it thundered on. The driver of the maroon Prius mouthed the words "What the..." as he watched the train pass him. He had been using this route for years to go back forth between work and home and he had never once seen these tracks in use. Judging from the expression of the person next to him neither had she.
The caboose of the train soon disappeared behind an old warehouse and the red lights and chiming bell came to an abrupt end. The driver, still confused, remained where he was for a couple of seconds before cautiously moving forward, watching the old railroad for another train. He wasn't the only one who was nervous. Several other drivers slowed down a bit at the crossing before moving on to the intersection. Those who were just exiting the freeway or coming across the bridge that went over the speeding cars were clueless as to what had just happened.

My buddy and I have just finished building a new site. We'll be moving stuff over from our old site to this one. Unlike our last forum, this one is open to the public. Any one is welcome! If you want to check it out, PM me!
A friend of mine wants me to create a new RP. If I can come up with one I amy post it here. If it works out.... Though I have noticed that RP's kinda run this site. maybe if we can get a new one up and running we can make this place all happy and active again.
