"More training?" Anya asked. They were still doing a lot of regular training. Not too mention double? She didn't let off any emotion knowing she protested the idea. If it's what they needed then so be it. "They've never attacked the quarters before, why would they now?" She thought for a moment, "If this worry is just now rising, does that mean...that someone's been captured?" She hated speaking the words out there.

Logan sighed again. "Yes, one of the Gamma team members. We've had to shut down their entrance. The lower teams, A-Z, and the beginner scout teams will have to do double training. My elite teams will continue their missions, Sarah knows it is of the utmost importance." He nodded to Painter. "If I may have the rest of your blueprints, you may go to your quarters. And Painter, Anya, get those shots taken care of." He turned back to the computer screens.

Anya nodded and handed what she had in her pockets, two different blueprints, a little crumpled, over and headed downstairs. She hated hearing that someone on their side was captured. The government, she knew, were horrible people. The agents they send out were sissys, but she knew that the government officials were no one to toy with. She sighed. She prayed that there would never be a day someone she was close to would get captured.

Painter nodded, turned, and strode down the hall in all his feline grace. It was not of vital importance to switch forms, so why risk the pain and possibly further injury? He sighed, sitting down in front of the 'common room' which was where his team met. Each of their rooms connected to the common room, so it was a living room of sorts. He waited, almost bored, thinking about that Gamma member who had been caught. It could have been one of my crew. I'd be devastated. I wonder if their commander is going insane. The probably had to restrain him. I'm sure he'd try to get his team together and rescue their friend.

Anya walked over to Painter. "Um, have you seen any of my team? Do you know where they were when the attack broke out?" She ran a hand through her long red hair. She was always nervous talking to Painter. He was so superior to her. Even if she was second in command of Beta. He felt like such a higher rank than even Jason. "I haven't seen any of them."

"Last I heard from Shepard, they were just exiting the government operated building in which we had acquired the blueprints from." Painter raised an eyebrow, an almost invisible expression for a panther. "I'm sure they're fine. I called my team up for backup, and anyone who was nearby. Shepard, being near the back, probably took the rest and took a different direction, should we be captured. He most likely took a detour, so that some blueprints would be existing if our team was obliterated." He said this almost matter-of-factly, knowing in his gut that Shepard would never lose a team member. He had trained with the other commander, many hours, and the were what you could call brothers-in-arms. Comrades.

Anya breathed a large sigh of relief. "Thank God..." She murmered. "I thought..." She shook her head, not wanting to get the rest of the sentence out. She looked at her shoulder, the bleeding had stopped, and she could hardly feel it now. She brought her knees to her chest and rested her head in her knees. She closed her eyes, replaying the battle in her head over and over again. She was stupid enough to get shot, she'll have to watch that next time. And try not to be a show off.

"How's your wound?" Painter asked, noticing her attention was on her own shoulder. Probably to get her thoughts off the Beta team, and her commander. Was she falling in love with him? Painter shook his head. If she was, it wasn't any of his business. "I wonder where Serenity is. I'd like to not be stuck in cat form," he sighed. Being a human was much easier. His panther form just gave him added speed and strength...and claws. Claws were good for battles, but he couldn't use his gun, or his boot knife.

She looked up. "Eh its nothing, doesn't even hurt anymore. Yours?" SHe smiled at the fact that he was still in his cat form. "I don't know how you can even stand being in that form." She giggled. "It looks rather itchy." She laughed. "Would it hurt that bad if you decided to change back now?" She was interested in the shape forming ability. She'd read many books where there was a creature that shape shifted. She wanted to know more.

"Eh, I've had worse. And let's say, with a gunshot wound, transforming hurts about ten times as much as actually getting shot. Pain is amplified cause while I change forms, the wound has to move too. It's quite a horrid side effect. I'm stuck like this until Serenity can give me some kind of pain killer. I can transform in moments of dire need, but I don't see anyone in immediate danger, so..." he shrugged. It was obvious from the glint in her eyes that she was interested. Maybe her family held fantasy books. Painter thought fondly back to the frock coat that lay in his room, upon a mannequin with the hat posed crookedly atop.
