Warrior Cats: The Four Clans

I got it! Mom bought it for me at Barns&Nobel while she was Pre-Ordering Breaking Dawn for me.

The written Info is just recaps, but the pictures are VERY cool! They have pictures of the Skyclan cats, and in the very end, a picture of Scourge and Bone. My little bro is scared of that one. lol.

I got it a while ago, and I was SO disappointed. Some of the pictures were pretty cool, but I'm upset with the job the artist did, mostly description-wise. Here goes my rant-I'm going to list everything that's wrong in the book, beginning to end.

Thunderclan

Firestar: Nothing wrong, I just wish they had a full-body of him instead of a head-shot, since they already have one on the cover.

Bluestar: Again, I wish we could see more-not just her face and back.

Graystripe+Millie: Millie's cool, but isn't Gray supposed to have yellow eyes, with a tint of amber? They look too green to me.

Sandstorm: Cool, now we know what "pale ginger" means. xD But the with the lighting, it is hard to tell. A bigger pic would have been nice to see her face better.

Yellowfang: This one's very nice, actually. Captured her soft side well. x3

Cinderpelt: Nothing looks wrong with her leg, too bad. x3 But it's hard to tell. Nice bg!

Leafpool: Definitely NOT my fav pic. With the shadows and the closed eyes, it just seems like the artist didn't portray her looks fully. But it is a pretty pic.

Squirrelflight: D'aw, this one's cool. At least we know what she looks like! I just hope that one of her paws is white like it should be.

Brambleclaw: I think the artist copped out on this one, by just painting his head. I would have liked to see more of him, he's one of my fav cats...

Ashfur: Nice job, very nice.

Brightheart+Cloudtail: Well, first of all, there WAS no Cloudtail. >.> And Brightheart looks almost all white, with only a faint ginger patch in the bg.

Jaypaw, Hollypaw, Lionpaw: Good, except for Lionpaw. You can't see any stripes 'cept his tail, and he looks ginger instead of gold.

ShadowClan

Tigerstar: What is he, some cute little innocent kittypet?!? Come on, the least they could do is make him look like the vicious murderer he is. He doesn't even look angry. And as with Bramble, they only show his head. Pa-thetic.

Brokenstar: Not much to say, 'cause there's not much to see. o.O Just a shadow, looks like he's just looking ahead. The bg is more impressive. Again, where's the evil tyrant?

Blackstar: First thing I thought: "Puma!" He doesn't look like a little cat, but maybe it's the angle.

Tawnypelt: Oi. She doesn't look like a fierce warrior here. Nope, she just looks like a cuddly red panda, y'know what I mean? And here markings are off! They're way different in the real books, as chapter headers.

Boulder: We don't really know him well, but I don't remember him being a tabby. Oh well. He's cute.

Littlecloud+Runningnose: Nothing wrong here, I actually like this one.

Windclan

Tallstar: This isn't how he's supposed to look. In Secrets of the Clans, He's just a tuxedo! With a white underbelly and paws and stuff. But not here. No, here he looks cooler, younger. But it's still wrong, or at least one of them is. And where's his long tail?

Onestar: I didn't expect this. The description says Brown tabby, I think. *shrug* He's alright.

Mudclaw: Aww, I just want to reach into that rock and HUG HIM, he's so cute! He looks so vulnerable! But that's not good for a ambitious, plotting, warrior.

Crowfeather (warning: MAJOR anger vent ahead): OMG. I HATE HATE HATE this picture!!!! What the bleep is wrong with the artist!?!?!? Why didn't the author tell him what Crowfeather actually looks like? Grrrrrrrrrrr....*tries to be rational*
First off, his EYES. They're blue for StarClan's sake! Seriously, any true warriors fan should know that. He's one of the main characters, you could at least get him right.
AND.
What in StarClan's name is he doing in a TREE!?!? Stalking a BIRD?!?!?!? Come ON. He's in WindClan. They don't have trees in the hills. WindClan rely on speed to catch prey, not stalking and stealth! Seriously, I should know!!

-calms down-

Nightcloud and Breezepaw: First off, why is Breezepaw (hopefully the one in the back-If the one with green eyes is Breezepaw, I'm going to scream.) bigger than his mother? If he's not, then that's even worse....I hope for everybody's eardrum's sake that Breezepaw is the one with the amber eyes.

Heatherpaw: Same prob as Lionpaw. Isn't she a tabby? Or did they both lose their back stripes in the tunnels...? >.>


Riverclan

Crookedstar: He's my fav. Totally. Hands down. He's gorgeous! His eyes and expression...looks so real.

Leopardstar: Wish there were more spots.

Graypool, Mistyfoot, Stonefur: I think these are all right. Stonefur-I'm not sure about the eyes, but where's his battle-scarred ears?!? Srsly, it says that in the description.

Silverstream: Looks a little blue, but still just as beautiful.

Feathertail: Cute, but why'd they close her eyes...? Hiding the fact that they don't know her EYE color, PERHAPS? *coughcough* Ahem, maybe I'm just paranoid. They're blue, incase you didn't know. >.>

Stormfur: Just as I imagined him, but a LOT skinnier. Not fluffy at all like his father. Which IS Graystripe! *cough* Ok, you should know that since his eyes
are amber, Graystripe's should be too. Not green. Anywho....

Hawkfrost: Zomg I want to hug him too...but this time I know he'd claw my face off. Very nice job, the effect with the shadows is amazing. And they got his eyes right! Those were so cool.

Mothwing and Willowpaw: Why is Willowpaw so much bigger than her mentor? o.O

Cats outside clans

Ravenpaw+Barley: Cute, but I thought Barley had more white.

Princess and Smudge: Princess I thought was a plain tabby, but here she's brownish. And Smudge Should be fat! :(

Brook+Talon: Nice, except, Where is Brook? Huh? She's way more important. I mean, when are we going to need to know what Talon looks like?

Stoneteller: Ugh, almost as bad as Crowfeather. The eyes are wrong, the biggest part of the picture! They're bright blue, just staring at you, when they should be amber. Amber, I say!

Cloudstar+Skywatcher: How I imagined them. 'Cept w/out the tabby markings.

Leafdapple, Sharpclaw, and Echosong: Sharp and Echo are fine. They're great. But they seriously mixed up Leafdapple. First off, her eyes are supposed to be amber, not blue. But even I almost didn't know. How-ever, in her bio, they said she used to be a kittypet, with a talent for leaping into trees. Not true! She was a rogue! Firestar stepped on her while hunting in the forest. That's something I remembered. The kittypet that lept into trees was Cherrytail! Get your facts straight, people!!!

Scourge+Bone: Ooh. Scary. Much more so than Tiger. Scourge's eyes don't seem icy enough, though. And I hope that's blood on him, not brownish fur.

Sigh. Wow. That took quite a bit, but I'm glad I got it off my chest.


All in all, fellow warriors lovers, don't trust the people in charge to get the cats right. Follow what you know to be true. When they tell you Crowfeather's eyes are yellow, or that Brambleclaw's are green, DON'T believe them! Trust me, I've seen so many mistakes in the books, it's a wonder more people don't mess them up. But seriously, trust your good judgement, or atleast read the descriptions in the front of the book! That's what they're there for.
