xD Yes, I know, it's pretty confusing. D: I'm going to fix that. I'm editing all my parts so they're more detailed and not as confusing. xD So, it should be better. Eventually. xD
Seriously, I went crazy with the naming ceremonies there. At first it was just going to be the apprentice ceremonies, but then there would be eleven apprentices, so I made those four older apprentices warriors. :D So there were 11 ceremonies. :D xD
XDD Sorry but it was very funny during the ceremonies! I'm all like "good the ceremonies are over! o_o" and then it's like, "And we have four apprentiecs who need to be warriors!" and I'm all like, "O_O". XDD HILARIOUS! XD
Seriously. At the time, I just wanted it to be OVER. xD So I just did them all at once. After I read the part over, I burst out laughing too. But I posted it. I'll get to editing it soon! xDDD
Conekit tumbled down a slope as she searched, hoping to find the mother she never knew. Her search was blind, endless, and probably impossible, but Conekit did not think of her tiny odds of success. She simply scanned the trees and bushes for any signs of movement, not knowing that she would never find her mother. StarClan could fall from the sky, yet Conekit would never find nor meet the cat who had kitted her. She knew that kits were not allowed to leave camp, but what did that matter to her? She wasnt truly related to MoonClan, anyway, so the warrior code didnt apply to her. She had been eating the snow for water. She was lucky; she had found a dead vole in the snow, unfinished by the animal that had killed it and kept fresh by the freezing weather. But that had been almost two days ago, and Conekit was starving. Conekit glanced over her shoulder for a moment as the thought finally entered her mind that her quest was impossible; she wouldnt survive if the weather continued at this rate. The snow was falling thickly, and she realized that she didnt know how to get back to the MoonClan camp; the imprints of her paws in the snow filled in mere seconds after her paw had taken another step. She was numb from the tip of her ear to her paws. Her pads were ripped, but the blood had frozen and didnt leave a trail. Her claws were frozen in her paws she had tried to unsheathe them earlier, but had failed. I bet its so cold my very whiskers have frozen, cracked, and fallen off! She thought jokingly to herself, attempting to bolster her spirits. It didnt work. It wasnt too long before every tree and bush was covered in so much snow that Conekit could have been walking upside down and she wouldnt have realized. She dragged herself slowly, the snow up to chest, not even glancing at the trees anymore as the cold got to her head and she couldnt remember who she was. She felt herself growing weaker as the snow fell unrelentingly, and she finally fell into a deep drift of snow as the endless hours of search and cold overwhelmed her. She is hotso hotbut how could she feel hot? The snow was fallingfallingor was it flyingflying high into the sky? Conekit became delirious as her body gave in to the overwhelming blizzard. Her body burned up with whitecough, on the borderline of greencough. There was no hope for her any longer. Her eyes fluttered closed as she wondered if she was flying.

Berryheart sighed in sympathy as she watched Sandstripe pelt toward Ivyeyes den. Ivyeye, Berryheart was sure, was the best medicine cat MoonClan had ever had the fortune of earning. But, even so, Berryheart wasnt sure if Ivyeye would be able to save Conekit. Five moons ago, Conekit was discovered abandoned and shoved into the biggest pine cone Berryheart had ever seen. The dawn patrol had carried Conekit to the MoonClan camp, where Sandstripe had adopted her in place of one of her kits, Goldkit, who had died of greencough a few days before. Icestar had named her Conekit, the name inspired from where she had been found. Now, Conekit had just been found half dead in the snow, near the TwilightClan border. Ivyeye was trying her best to save Conekit, but Conekit had been gone for days and was deathly cold. Will she live?! She must live! Save her, Ivyeye! Sandstripes eyes were wild with worry and her claws hacked into the frozen ground as if to give herself more support. I am doing my best, Sandstripe. She shall live. Ivyeye replied calmly as she rubbed against Conekit to warm her tiny body. Berryheart sighed softly, knowing Ivyeye was only saying that to calm Sandstripe down. She could see the worry in Ivyeyes deep green eyes. As Ivyeye gently led Sandstripe out of her den, convincing her that it would do Conekit much good for some peace and quiet and that her other kits, Dewkit and Brookkit, would need her, Berryheart padded up and began to help brushing the snow off of Conekits pelt. How is she, really? Berryheart whispered as she used her tail to gently to clear away clumps of snow from Conekits eyes. Ivyeyes head drooped sadly, and she paused in her work as she spoke. Not well, Im afraid. She is burning with whitecough. I am trying to keep her from catching greencough, but it isnt easy. This is a bad leaf-bare. If she catches greencough, she will be in the paws of StarClan; the frost has killed all the precious catmint. There is not much left I can do but to pray to StarClan to spare a kits life. Berryheart nodded in understanding, resting her tail on Ivyeyes pelt for encouragement. Yes, we can only hope. But poor Sandstripe is half mad with worry. She cant stand to lose another of her kits, whether or not they are actually her own. Berryheart gazed at Conekit, remembering the tragic death of Goldkit. Ivyeye nodded, bent down to sniff Conekit, gingerly prodding her with one paw, then suddenly yowled for her apprentice in fright. Daypaw! Yes, Ivyeye? The muscular black tom with yellow eyes stepped out of the shadows from the back of the den, where he had been silently watching as he organized a pile of herbs. Quickly, fetch some borage leaves and feverfew from the forest! Conekit is burning up; we need to try and cool down her fever before she catches greencough! Remember, theyre just outside of camp! Berryheart secretly watched as Daypaw slowly shuffled out of the den, often stopping to study the ground, as if it contained something extremely interesting. Berryheart couldnt help noticing how Daypaw had rolled his eyes, blasé, as he listened to Ivyeyes instructions. Does Daypaw even care if Conekit survives? Berryheart shivered and shook her head sharply at the offending thought. Of course he cares! Hes a medicine cat apprentice; his whole life is based on saving cats - not killing them! As Ivyeye fussed over Conekit, Berryheart slowly and silently made her way out of Ivyeyes den and watched Daypaw walk across the clearing towards the entrance. She followed a few tail lengths behind, of the gorse tunnel and watched as he headed towards the borage. He began collecting the borage, biting off the blue, star-shaped flowers at their stems and placing them into a pile. Sighing in relief, she re-entered the camp, enjoying the feeling of the thorns lightly pulling at her pelt, then headed toward the nursery. Her best friend, Mistypool, had just kitted and she hadnt had a chance to see her kits. Berryheart stepped into the nursery, blinked as she became accustomed to the dim light, and padded towards Mistypool. Mistypool lay in a nest of warm moss with a dip beside it, where apprentices squeezed water into so Mistypool did not have to leave her kits for water. Her light gray pelt looked charcoal gray in the dim light, but Berryheart thought that her aura seemed to be glowing as she gazed down at her kits. Berryheart coughed softly, and Mistypool looked up, purring in happiness as she saw her friend. Berryheart, Im so glad you finally came! I was so worried you forgot about me Mistypool meowed, her eyes containing no sign of sadness now. Of course I didnt forget about you how could I ever? I was busy with Conekit and my warrior duties. Everyone misses your calming presence in the warriors den, Mistypool. Berryheart replied warmly, licking her paw and cleaning her muzzle as she hid the fear she felt at the mention of Conekit. Mistypool seemed not to hear Berryhearts last words as she ****ed her head to the side, confused. Wait, what do you mean? Has something happen to Conekit? She glanced over at Sandstripes quiet, secluded form and said quietly, A couple days ago, Leafeye came in here and told Sandstripesomething, I dont know, but whatever it was, she started panicking. Leafeye started trying to groom her to calm her down, but she hissed at him to leave her in peace. I tried asking her what was wrong, tried to comfort her, but she ignored me. She ignored Froststripe, too. Then, not too long ago, Leafeye came in and whispered something to Sandstripe again. Again, she panicked, but this time, ran out of the nursery, leaving Dewkit and Brookkit alone and crying, leaving Leafeye standing here alone. Of course, Leafeye wont tell me anything, let alone answer me at all. The only cats he ever speak to are Sandstripe, Icestar, his kits, and Ivyeye. Hes so shy. She sighed. You mean, you dont know what happened? Nobodys told you what happened? Berryheart asked in shock. Mistypool shook her head. Great StarClan, weve all ignored you poor queens! Berryheart meowed just loud enough for Froststripe to hear, for she was listening intently from her mossy nest. A couple days ago, Conekit we know because Dewkit came to us when Conekit didnt return secretly left to go see Ivyeye for some juniper because Sandstripe had her belly ache. Leafeye was the first one to notice that neither Ivyeye nor Sandstripe knew where Conekit was. We all searched the camp, but no one could find her. Thats when Leafeye came in - to tell Sandstripe that Conekit was missing. We believe she left to try and find her real mother. Berryheart shook with anger. I cant believe that Daypaw told Conekit her real background! Mistypool stood up in equal anguish, momentarily forgetting her fragile kits. Then Conekit has been missing for almost a quarter-moon! But Sandstripe never said that she was missing She settled back into her mossy nest as Wetkit, Sandkit, and Littlekit whimpered from the cold air hitting their small bodies. Berryheart nodded. Sandstripe probably didnt want everyone to know of her pain. Anyways, Conekit was just found and shes not doing too well. She already has whitecough. Itll be up to StarClan whether she lives or dies. The frost has killed all the catmint. The big problem is, Ivyeye doesnt know if she can keep Conekit from getting greencough. This leaf-bare is the first bad one since we came here from over the mountains. As she finished informing Mistypool of the recent happenings, she noticed that Mistypool was becoming stiff with fear and was wrapping around her kits tightly as if to keep them from ever leaving her. Dont worry, Mistypool; your kits have no reason to ever leave you. You are the kindest and sweetest cat anyone has ever known. Berryheart purred, settling herself on the nursery floor, and Froststripe nodded her agreement. Mistypool relaxed slightly. I do hope that Conekits condition turns for the better, for Sandstripes sake. She has had to endure too much grief in the last moon to take anymore. First, her mother, Blueclaw dies. Then her precious Goldkit dies of greencough. Now, her adopted kit is in danger of dying? I worry for her. Berryheart shook her head to rid herself of the depressing thoughts. Now, to the real reason I visited. I have not had a chance to see your beautiful kits! Mistypool purred happily at the mention of her kits. She shifted a couple inches to reveal one sandy-colored tabby kit. This is Sandkit, a tom, obviously named for his color. She lifted a front leg to reveal a deep black kit. And this tiny tom is Littlekit! As you can see, this is the runt of my litter. I worried at first, as I worry about everything, but Ivyeye told me not to. She says he is a very healthy kit, and may grow up a little small, but will still be strong for his size. I still dont understand how she figured that out, so Ill just have to wait until he grows up and see if shes right. Finally, she reached a leg underneath her and nudged out her last kit. StarClan blessed me this beautiful she-cat, who I think will be the shy one. When I first saw her, I just knew that she would have some abnormal love of water, so I had to name her Wetkit. I think she looks just like you, Berryheart. Berryheart let out a mrrow of laughter. Wait until you see what color her eyes turn to. Then youll see she doesnt look the same as me. The only ones with light blue eyes are Icestar and I. Mistypool shook her head seriously, stroking her tail down Wetkits head. No, I really know that shell look exactly like you. Berryheart shuffled her paws and subconsciously licked down her chest fur. Thats what always scares me about you, Mistypool. You always think you know what is going to happen, and you are normally right.
I've already read it, so I'm not going to read something that long again until it gets to the part I haven't read, but i loved it on dA!!! ^_________________________________^
