Ivy moved infront of Drake warning him not to make the first move. She took another step forwards and asked "Who are you after?" She waited for the Shadow to answer he pateintly. She was thinking clearly but her thoughts were slower than usual. She knew if she had to she could think of something if things got ruff as long as nothing happened to ehr winds she would be fine.

Drake held his potion & watched Ivy. His gaze was constantly flicking from Ivy to the Shadow & back. He evened his weight & footing while he waited for the shadow to speak. Drake really didn't want to have to fight but if he had to he would. He remebered the fighting fighting moves his father had taught him. He wasn't very good at fighting but he always gave it a good shot.

Xyrnn sighed wearily, settling onto a nearby rock that jutted precariously over the lake waters. It would take sometime for the people to reach a decision, and she might as well practice her powers over less visible things. Frowning, she increased the gravity on the air in her cupped palm, smiling a gentle grin as the air became weight in her fingers...

Alex grinned. The target had taken up a position on a rock... leveling his blade, the boy ignored the people 'sneaking' up on him. Shrugging lightly, he sent a swarm of shadow rats after them, hopefully keeping them busy enough to avoid from upsetting his aim. Bolting the boy appeared from the shadows, sweeping his black blade in a controlled arc towards the girl's neck. Turning around before confirming that he had actually hit his target was his first mistake. His second was to stare blankly at his gore-free shadow sword for more than a second. It was to be one of the last ones he would ever make. He felt something slam into the back of his head, and the world went blank.

Xyrnn had been teetering precariously as the change in density and weight hanging over the edge of the rock had caused her to fall over the rock just as the edge of the sword had whistled over her head, severing several locks of hair, but otherwise leaving the elf unharmed. It wasn't a good idea to tick the female elf off, and you didn't stay there with your back turned to the vengeful girl.

"You are a complete BUTT"[ooc; use a better word. filters prevent the intended force from getting across c:] she roared, slugging the condensed ball of air at the boy's head. The little ball of air must have felt like a fifty pound dumbbell traveling at forty miles an hour [ooc; a weight... but dumbbell sounds nicer xD] as it smacked the boy in the neck area, grounding him with a single blow. Clambering out of the water in a blink of an eye, she went over and tossed a pebble onto his head. The little piece of rock had been less than a gram, but under the influence of Xyrnn's angry gravity, it must have weighed a good hundred pounds as it slammed into the unconscious boy's back. Only what little common sense that remained after the attempt on her life -- and the fact she discovered there was in fact a Shadow in the area -- prevented the girl from pounding the unknown Shadow's head in.

Ivy swore and then started at the the rats with her dagger stabbing them when they went to jump. "This isn't working very well. Can you turn into something tinier? Like I don't know a frog would work or hey what about a ferret?"she said as she was stabbing the rats closest to her. She was about to stab one huge rat when it Jumped onto the dagger adn straitgh at her face. It scratched ehr across the check and would most likely leave a scar. She grabbed the rat and stabbed. There was no way she was leaving now. She started stabbing anything she could her hands on. It was hard to fight there because of all the dead rats that the two of them had killed and the uneven ground but oh well

Drake swatted at the rats as they jumped on him. "I can't, I don't know how!" he told Ivy, he saw her stabbing rats. He had several bite & scratch marks, his ears were lightly dripping with blood on the tips. Deep scratches covered his face & arms. A rat lepaed at his face, Drake clawed at it until it fell to the ground. He tried desperitely to get the rats of him.

Eethan poked his head out of the water, surprised to see Ivy and Drake, battering helplessly at the surrounding Shadow rodents. He gasped.
"Hey!" The merman exclaimed, slipping quickly out of the water, Abbelinah still clinging to his back. The fishy-like tail dissapeared, giving way to the same legs that he used to walk [ooc; well, durr... xD]. His sister's tail, too, had turned normal. She jumped off her older brother, scared for her life, and ran out to find a place to hide.

Eethan stood in front of Ivy and Drake, a few meters away, not exaclty sure of what to do.

Drake briefly saw Eethan before a fury of rats blocked his view. He clawed at the rats but he couldn't see what he was doing. His bottom lip was visibly bleeding from a cut a rat had given him. Drake made a pitiful cry as five rats leaped onto his back. About twelve more tackled him & he fell under the weight. He struggled blindly against the rodents on his back.

Ivy let out a helpless cry as she saw Drake under. She rushed over to him and stabbed the rats on his face so he could breath and then called out to Ethan"Get him out of here"she said as she got most of the rats off of the kids. They were climbing up her dress and biting her. She had to save Drake. She helped him to his paws and pushed him towards Ethan. She tryed helplessly to get them off of her but she was bleeding.
