Blackfox uncurled himself from teh ball he was sleeping in. His jaws parted in a gaping yawn. He licked one of his white paws and drew it over his face. "Up and at 'em" He grinned and stood. He padded out of the warriors den and shook out his fur. His fluffy black and white tipped tail bushed out even more. He grinned at it. Seeing Riverstar leading the patrol back in, he padded forward. His licked the bottom of his paw and drew it over his odd tuffet of hair trying to make it lie flat. It was in vain because it only stayed down for a moment. It sprang back up even messiier than before. He laughed and called out, "So Riverstar, finally meeting the cute new apprentice huh?" Now Blackfox was a flirt but he knew when to hold his tongue. Though he had learned teh hard way. He had flirted with Riverstar and wound up cleaning out the elder's den for weeks.

Florestapaw sat up and looked at Riverstar and then padded out of the den, stretching her back. Loping to a sunny spot, She rolled onto her back, all in one swift motion, and laid there; her black fur soaking in the warmth of the rays of light. Her green eyes looked at Blackfox and said, "Everyone's quiet interested in Redpaw, darlin'. I haven't gotten a chance to speak to her as of yet." She grinned, darlin' slippin purposely in there. Then she rolled her eyes and closed them, laying still for a few more moments before her tail began to sway again and her nose twicthed also.

Blackfox grinned devilishly and chuckled deeply. "Ya hear that? She called me darling! What did i tell you? Every she cat is falling for me!" He threw back his head and gave an uneven laugh in his husky, unsmooth voice. His voice wasnt smooth or gentle. It was husky and deep. It was uneven when he talked but it could be charming if he talked the right way or used teh right words. Yet he contented himself on letting his husky voice just be there.

"Come now, Blackfox, I mean, really now!" spoke the young she-cat, her black tail lashing back and forth; not in anger, but in mockery. She laughed and then rolled onto her stomach. "It's quite quiet," she said, standing and shaking herself off. Shaking her head, she murmured, "Everyone should be up soon." Looking up,s he looked at Riverstar and then said, "I hope you don't mind if I go out for a bit, Riverstar, to hunt. Blackfox, you're surely free to join me, as is any other cat." Trotting easily out, Florestapaw padded into the greenery that was sure to house plump mice and birds.

Blackfox grinned alrgely at where she had disappeared. He jumped in to a canter and followed her. He called out, "Wait up sweeheart! You cant expect a hunting patrol to just mysteriously appear behind you the moment you say you are going out." He laughed and followed behind her easily letting his paws hit the ground in an uncaring fashion.

"I don't know the specifics, but I think..." She paused, staring past Riverstar. A flicker of recognition passed her eyes and she looked back up at the LightningClan leader, "I think... I wasn't supposed to be born. I mean, yes, my mother wanted to have me, and loved me, but I wasn't... Allowed... To be born."

All of a sudden, the scene around her faded,a nd a new scene sprung up in front of her. She saw herself, standing next to her starry mother. Her mother was arguing with the old leader, Thunderstar. She was also arguing with Bluestar, and only now did she realize, Firestar.
"This isn't right," Thunderstar shook his head, "A kit could never be born into Thunderclan who lived in StarClan. How has she even come to be? It doesn't make sense. Nobody can mate in StarClan, and yet, here stands living proof."
He shook his head, and Redpaw came back to the LightningClan leader's den.

Riverspirit watched as the apprentice seemed distant, then looked back at her again.
"Oh," was all Riverspirit could say. "Well, then, you want to join the Clan? What do you know so far about being a warrior?"

"I know hunting moves from my mother, fighting moves from my uncle, and ... Yeah, I guess that's it." She figured she'd leave out her Aura talk. That had nothing to do with being a Warrior, so it didn't really make sense to her to mention it. With a smile, Redpaw forgot about the strange scene in her head. "I would love it if I could join your clan. I would like nothing better." Redpaw was too young to be a warrior, but too old to be an apprentice. It was an odd age, but she wouldn't mind staying in the Warrior's, or Apprentice's den.

Riverstar sat down and thought for a moment. "Okay," she agreed, nodding, "I'll train you, and you can live in the apprentice den. What's your name?"
