Matt's head slammed onto the table in his Science class, and when the teacher loomed over him, he looked up lazily and asked, "Yes?" "Matthew, you must stay awake during this lesson. You are distracting the class," said the teacher in a stern voice. "Sorry," he said, sitting up slowly, making half the class laugh. "Faster, Matthew, or you get detention." "I already have it with you for this week and next, Ma'am. So, that's make you have to spend more time with moi." He chuckled, causing the teacher to stomp back to the front of the room.
"Smooth," whispered a kid next to him. Matt just shrugged and said, "I didn't mean to. I'm just really... tired," he finished with a yawn. Rubbing his eyes, he looked at his notes. He was finished with the first page they were supposed to write. No one else was, so that's why he almost fell asleep. "You always are, Matt. Keep your head up, or you'll get detention from the math teacher. I hear they're mad for some reason," said the girl on his left. He shrugged and said, "I had two weeks detention with them last month."

Ryota cursed himself under his breath and sat down next to her. "I-I'm sorry," he said slowly, not sure what else to do. He gently put a hand on her shoulder. "You don't have to tell me... Oh Lexi, please don't cry..." He lifted her head from her hands with his own. Staring straight into her shining, tear-filled eyes he murmured, "Forgive me, please. I'm sorry." He brushed away a tear with his fingertip.

Taylor giggled at Maddix then said, "Ya, please don't scream like that!" She hugged him then went out the door to her P.E. class. She went to the locker room and heard kids talking about crimpesses and vampires.
"Whoa! You know Lexi? She's PALE!" One kid said.
"You know who's paler? That Taylor girl!" Another kid giggled. Taylor slumped. The news was spreading now. People now know she's pale and sooner or later, they'd figure out she's a vampire. Tears started to drop. She'd have to move then leave Maddix!

As soon as she was gone Maddix remembered what he was supposed to give her. He took it out of his binder and left it on his desk. He started running towards the gym. He knew she would be in the locker room so he just walked in, and headed straight towards Taylor. He said "Hey I forgot to give this to you and it couldn't wait because it would have been on my mind till the end of class."he said taking a folded up piece of paper. It was a picture of her he had drawn in English. "I better"he stopped when he noticed she was crying "Taylor your crying" he said upset and started wiping the tears away as they came. He forgot he was in the locker room.

Taylor stared at the picture. "It's perfect!" she said between sobs. "I like it!" She wiped away her tears then tried to smie. "I'm fine. It's all right Maddix, really!" She sighed. "Maddix, I guess I'll tell you everything when we go to my house after school...." she hugged him then folded the drawing and put it in her bag. "Thanks Maddix," she whipered before she went into the locker room to change.

Maddix turned and watched her go and he winced as she walked away. A bunch of girl were looking at him and then when he left a bunch of guys walked over and asked a bunch of imature and perverted questions but Maddix just kept walking. The teacher stopped him "What where you doing in there?"she asked "Being a total perv and spying on all the half naked girls because I totally didn't have to give my girl friend a picture i drew her now then if youw ill excuse me and I have a history class to attend" the teacher watched not saying anything as he left. he headed back to class and sat in his desk

"You shouldn't be so uptight with detentions; you gotta be chil and let 'em slide. Everyone gets 'em sometimes," mumbled Matt as he sat up and blew the hair out of his face. He stared at the ceiling until the teacher screeched, "Matthew, we are on the next slide!" Matthew lazily nodded and began to write again, smiling to himself. Yawning, he shook his head to wake himself up, only the tiniest bit more so he could concentrate a bit better. "Sorry," he said sarcastically as he finished writing the notes. His writing was sloppy, but at least he could read it.
