ooc: Timbers, can you change the points taken away doen to ten? tnx.
ic: Brooke thanked Taylor. She felt really bad about getting her friend in trouble, but it didn't seem to effect the peppy girl. Brooke took out her Herbology book and looked through it for the rest of class. It seemed like a good enough class. She liked the looks of the plants, and was amaised at how much they could help, or hurt someone.
When their class was finally dismissed, Brooke stayed back with her friends to help Reggie clean out the cauldrens. It was much to their teacher's dislike, but he didn't say anything as they scrubbed the desks and chairs. The next class started comming in, and the teacher sent them away. They rushed up the stairs of the dungeon, and Brooke was more than happy to leave the bone-chilling place. They followed the directions they were given to get to Herbology, which was outside. Their class was surrounding a pixie-like lady who had large muddy gloves on. She was giving a short lecture, and paused only to tell Brooke and her friends that they were late. She led them all into a hot, stuffy green house, that had plants of all shapes and colours hanging about.

Reggie smild to himself that Brooke had stayed behind to help him. As they went in to the green house and gently placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled, "Thanks," he whispered and his odd eyes glowed with his gratitude. He cast a glance toward the teacher and whispered softly, "I owe you one." He laughed slightly and winked at her as he moved away. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and listened as the teacher muttered on and on about some wierd herbs Reggie would never be able to name. He really disliked learning this kind of stuff. He was going to wind up cleaning out this place as well if they asked him to do anything.
Lucifer coughed quietly. "Taylor, cool it. I don't think you want him yelling at you." He whispered, waiting as all the other kids seemed to do. He wouldn't ask what to do when they were done. It would seem like he was some teacher's pet to this snobby guy. "Just be careful Taylor, if he has a grudge against you, you might not pass this class."

"If he dies, then it will be God's will."
"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Taylor smiled at Lucifer. "It's OK. I'll do anything for you guys!" She winked and waited for Brooke and Reggie to catch up with them. Sighing, she picked up her herbology book to read, and found the class... boring, but yet interesting! She read to chapter 7 when Taylor realized she was reading ahead. "Arg..." she said. So much for being a fast reader!
ic: Everybody had a boring time in Herbology. Their class was all on the books that day, even though their class was outside. They all headed to lunch and sat at the tables, where food magiclly appeared once again. Brooke jumped when it did, and her friends laughed. Everything was going just fine, When their Headmaster stood to make an announcement. He was a tall wizzard, with curly gray hair under a tall pointed hat. When he spoke, his voice was higher than most expected. "Students," He began with a friendly smile, "How has your first day been so far?" There was a chorus of 'goods', 'greats', and 'fantastics'. "That's wonderful." He smiled wider, but became serious before continuing, "I'd like to remind all students that the Forbidden Forest is just that- Forbidden. There has been an acident this morning with a 4th year, and I truthfully expected better. This is a time to be more cautious than usual, and I warn you all to keep to where you're supposed to be, and not where your noses lead you." Brooke found it odd that when he ended his little speech, his eyes landed on her.

Taylor stumbled to the lunch room just in time to hear their headmaster's speech. It was about some guy who went into the Forbidden Forest and had an accident.... Taylor didn't really care. She sat down next to Brooke, also to see the food already on the table. The fresh smell rose into her nostrils and made her mouth water. In the cornor of her eye, she saw the headmaster look at Brooke. Taylor's eyes widened. "What happened??" she asked desperatly, then realized something. "Hey.. what year are your brothers??" she asked, worried. In the time she waited, she scooped up some of the food they had; fried chicken, beef, lamb, vegetables, fruit, even dessert! Smiling, Taylor ate her lunch, but her heart still weighed on Brooke's brothers, and her mind was still thinking of them.
