This is a song I wrote very recently...yesterday I think...I even wrote the music for it, on the piano...but obviously I can't sing it for you so...xD

"Ray of Sunshine"

She wasn't old 
But she still wasn't young 
She'd been through the rough 
Many times, she'd been stung 

She'd cried with the hurt 
And she'd screamed with the pain 
But near to the end 
After the rain 

Can you see that ray of sunshine 
Sparkling in her clouded eyes? 
Can you feel the warmth of a smile 
Burning through the clouded skies? 

She had lost hope 
She thought it never would end 
She thought that pain 
Was around every bend 

She wanted peace 
She would go any length 
To get it herself, but 
She still had the strength 

To wait and see that ray of sunshine 
Slicing through the darkened world 
She somehow knew light would be coming 
And now she can live with her fists uncurled 

We can find that ray of sunshine
 We can find a way to cope 
'Till the sun shines down from the heavens 
We can find that drop of hope...

Here's a poem I wrote for a contest on deviantART. The contest was to write a poem for someone that influenced your life in 2008. 

This is for my friend Madison, who kept me sane during my depression, and continues to do so.

I am really quite proud of this, actually...

Savior

Last year was hard 
I found my way through 
Without the help of my friends 
Pain was all I knew 

But one special girl 
Stood out from the rest 
From all of my friends, 
She was always the best 

Oh yes, we would fight 
But at the end of the day 
We'd clear up the mess 
She always knew what to say 

Sometimes -- bad days -- 
I'd take it all out on her 
But she stood beside me 
And now I am sure

This girl truly was 
My savior last year 
And even today 
She wipes away every tear 

Thank you, my friend, 
For keeping me here
And giving me hope 
For this coming year.

For the poem : Wow. That flows so calmly, Fli-light! I like the rhyming words, and how you put everything together! Great job!

Wow, both are outstanding, but I especially adore the song. It has a great message, and I could imagine my own tune for it, and it sounded beautiful. heart.gif I also love the words you used, they were so much m,ore... juicier than most people use. x3
