Fireleaf watched as she ran. His ears were standing for a moment but then they fell back again. He gave the elder one last glance then he slowly padded out of windclan entrence. He smelled the air and followed her scent. Perhaps the rabbit was poisoned by twolegs. If that was true, there is probably more poisoned rabbits running around.

Winterstorm glacned down at the water that flowed easily in the river. It was undisturbed and clear. She wished more things could be like that. But then again, if lfe was always crystal clear things wouldnt be so fun. She sighed and bent her head down to touche the surface with her pink nose. The cool liquid sent a shiver through her. The thought of Nightshade's death being her fault was still burning in her mind. How could she say she was sorry? There was nothing that would make it up.

Fireleaf sighed a bit and reliezed he was going the direction that he always goes to get to the small river. That's probably where she went. He soon saw the bright water and the black and white deputy. He frowned as he watched her. "winterstorm?" he whispered as he slowly walked up next to her by the water.

Whitestorm jumped at the tom's voice. She turned her teary green eyes to the ginger warrior. Her lips quivered a bit as she still sobbed from her thoughts. "Fireleaf..." she said breathlessly. "What am i going to do Fireleaf? They are all going to hate me!" She glanced down at the water, "They all had a hard time excepting me as deputy since i was so young and now this only proves their suspicions." She shook her head softly.

Fireleaf frowned and he watched her. "don't say that, winterstorm." he whispered. "your a great deputy." he looked down at the rushing clear water. He looked back up at her with his glowing green eyes. "we learned something though," he added. "we learned that the twolegs might have poisoned the rabbits, or maybe even more prey."

Whitestorm was a bit startled by the glowing eyes but she recovered quickly. "Twolegs?" she asked softly. "Do you really think it was Twolegs?" The ginger tom may have had a point. He was a bit older than she was and had been around a bit longer. Perhaps she should listen to his ideas. She twitched her pink nose softly and glanced away. "If its twolegs... then that means that they may be trying to get rid of us on purpose..." She frowned darkly. Yet she glanced back up to Fireleaf with hopeful bright green eyes like he had all the answers. "Do you think we can stop this?"

Fireleaf watched her for a moment then glanced back down at the water. "maybe..." he murmured. "but It could be hard." fireleaf glanced back at her with his glowing eyes. "I was thinking....they are trying to get rid of us because...." he stopped for a moment and looked away. He finished, "they want to destroy the forest. Get rid of our home."

Winterstorm nodded slowly. "That sounds like something they would do... Who knows..." she sighed to herself. "I dont know if there is something we could do. But we have to warn Oakstar. Once we have told him we have to be careful about what kind of prey we bring back." She glanced to the bright sky thoughtfully. "We need to keep a look out for anything that looks odd on our territory..." Winterstorm looked back to Fireleaf with a soft smile, "Thank you Fireleaf." she purred, "You have been a great help to me." She touched her nose to his cheek with another purr.
