Breezepaw thought about what Whisperpaw had said. "Yea...maybe it will..." He licked his paw and looked up at the smoke again. He wondered if the camp was ok. If it survived the fire and the clan could go back. Breezepaw would have his warrior ceremony there. He was about to turn 9 moons in a few days but he didnt want to remind the warriors or Oakstar yet, untill they were safe at there home. Lokking over at Rabbitpaw he remembered she was almost 9 moons too. Smiling he sat down in the grass and began to lick his wounds.

If the camp is okay after this, it will be quite the clean up. It will probably not be the same for a while. she thought sadly. Black smoke billowed up into the dark sky, circling over the clearing. Whisperpaw watched as it covered the trees with grey smog, making her cough softly. She thought about the camp, where she had grown up in, had her apprentice ceremony, and, eventually, would become a warrior. She wondered if it would be there after the fire.

Rabbitpaw had been quite through the whole exchange that went between Whisperpaw and Breezepaw. It wasnt normal for her to just keep quite, she usually would have tried to cheer them up with her usual spunk. Yet with the camp burning in the distance what could she do? THe young she cat looked at her friend Breezepaw with sad eyes and shrugged. "Why dont we all go find someone to help out right now? Winterstorm said earlier that we are planning to move out further. Even past the hills that hold the Moonstone."

Winterstorm's eyes looked Oakstar all over making sure he was alright. She sighed in relief. "Thank Starclan you are back," she breathed. "What should we do next Oakstar? I dont know if we should wait for the fire to pass or find a new home." She shook her head softly.

Oakstar watched her and nodded. "for now we need to travel a little farther. If the fire spreads we could die here if we wait." oakstar sighed and looked down. Fireleaf was injured badly and many cats were sick. He didn't know much what to do. "even if the fire dies we still may have to find a new home, because it may destroy the whole forest." oakstar looked up at the black and white deputy. "all right, help gather the sick cats. The journey continues." he nodded at the deputy and looked at all the scared cat. "let's continue!" he said. Oakstar looked at winterstorm once more. "please make sure breezepaw helps fireleaf as well."

Breezepaw stood up and nodded to Rabbitpaw. "Ok..." He looked over to Oakstar as he gathered the cats to continue. Following the Leader he made it to Winterstorm and sat down. "Winterstorm? Is there anything me and Rabbitpaw can do?" He looked at the apprentice and back at Winterstorm. His paw felt numb but he ignored it and looked up at the deputy.

She nodded in agreement at Rabbitpaw's statement. Whisperpaw followed the two apprentices over to Winterstorm. "I would like to help as well."

Winterstorm looked kindly at the three young cats and nodded, "Yes, I would like you three to keep an eye on Fireleaf. He tends... To have wondering paws." She winked at them and turned away. She stood beside Oakstar ever so slightly pressing against him just in case he needed a cat to help him walk.

Rabbitpaw turned with the other two and smiled, "Come on guys, lets get going and find Fireleaf." The bob-tailed apprenticed tossed a look back at the deputy for a moment but she was turned away. With that she shrugged and headed out to find the ginger pelted warrior.

Breezepaw ran passed Rabbitpaw and turned his head to her. "Come On Slowpoke!" He ran to Fireleaf and Mudwhisker, and halted in front of them. "Winterstorm said we have to keep an eye on you Fireleaf." He winked at the cat and smiled walking to the other side of the cat. Mudwhisker walked out of the way and walked toward the gathering cats. Looking back at Rabbitpaw, Breezepaw waited for the she-cat to come.

"Coming guys!" she called to her friends. Whisperpaw grinned at Whitestorm as she followed her fellow apprentices over to the cat. She took a position to the right, keeping her sharp emerald eyes on the ginger pelt.
