Warrior Cats: The Four Clans

Rabbitpaw hadnt bothered to reply to her friend, rather she had only given him a sarcastic smirk. With a sigh she watched him trot away to talk to Oakstar. She stood and made her way to the elder area. The apprentices had given each of them a nice piece of fresh kill. She smiled to herself and turned around. Standing there was Nightpaw, Runningpaw and Robinpaw with almost expectant eyes. What did they want? She smiled warmly and chuckled, "What?" They all looked at one another before Runningpaw turned back.
"Is that all we need to do right now?" He sounded almost like he was asking his deputy for approval to go get something to eat. Rabbitpaw was a little taken aback she merely nodded for them to go. Runningpaw turned to the other two with a smile and they padded off to get food. Rabbitpaw sat down for a moment wondering why they didnt go to Winterstorm to ask if it was alright... Perhaps it was because they had been taking orders from Rabbitpaw all night. She frowned slightly and made her way to the apprentices area.

Winterstorm milled about the makeshift camp, getting straglers in to bed and feed for the night. Her pale green eyes watched as some apprentices padded away from the elders den. She was glad that they had at least remembered their duties. With a satisfied smile she turned to find Oakstar.

Breezepaw saw Oakstar smile and he tried to smile back but knew something was wrong. Bowing his head he looked over to where the apprentices were going to rest. "Well I should go. Tomorrow Ill try to help more with the elders." Turning around Breezepaw ran to the apprentices and lied down.

Winterstorm's pale green eyes darted every which way as she still sought out Oakstar. Her brows knitted and her heart thumped with worry. She hadnt seen him yet and she had checked the whole makeshift camp. Rather than letting anyone else know that he was missing, Winterstorm kept quiet. Now was not the time to make others worry. She bit her lip and scented the air. She couldnt find his scent for a long time. She went farther away from camp until she did find his scent. Once she had it she charged after it. Her eyes were wide with worry as she drew closer. She spotted Oakstar ahead and her paws carried her faster. "Oakstar!" she called out and raced to his side.

Winterstorm's eyes flooded with anexity and worry. She wrapped herself around the elderly tom and mewed hurriedly, "What on earth are you doing out in the rain?!" The black and white deputy's voice was a bit curt and scolding. "You should be trying to take care of yourself and your health. PLaying in the rain isnt a way to do that." Her face softened for a moment. "What would the clan do if you werent here? Getting yourself sick isnt going to help anyone. We need you. The whole clan needs you."
