Fireleaf looked over at winterstorm. She looked shocked and depressed now that their leader was dead. Fireleaf looked around at all the cats. He sighed and padded over to winterstorm. "Are you okay?...." Fireleaf asked softly to the black and white deputy.

Breezepaw looked up to hear Rabbitpaw. Walking toward her he sat down with his head low. "Its ok..." Laying on the floor a couple of mouse lenghts away from Oakstar, Breezepaw looked up at the mourning apprentice. He knew what he had said wasnt that truthful but he had to say something. Resting his head on his paws he closed his eyes and thought about the old leader.
Winterstorm nodded softly. "I think so... I will be better once we find our new home and things go back to normal." Her voice was strong but she knew things would never be the same now. She was leader and that was that.
Rabbitpaw glanced at Breezepaw and shook her head. "How can things be okay? We lost our home and our leader! Where is Starclan now huh?! Have they abondonded us?!"
Winterstorm's ears perked and she turned her pale green eyes to Rabbitpaw. She had been a rock of foundation through the whole ordeal but now she was wavering. It was time to step up. "Be quiet Rabbitpaw. Things will be fine. Starclan lead us this way for a reason. They have a plan and we shall obey. They took Oakstar because they believe we can handle it. Now get a grip and dont lose faith!"
Fireleaf stared at winterstorm and than looked over at rabbitpaw. Yes.... He thought. It seems starclan has left us...But we can't give up.... Fireleaf gave winterstorm a small smile than he turned and his smile faded. He slowly walked over to the dead leader and watched him.

Breezepaw lifted his head and looked at Winterstorm. Half of him told him Starclan was still going to help them and the other told him they DID abandond them. Sighing he walked a little closer to the leader and found a place to lie down at. Putting his head down again he looked at the leaders body.
Winterstorm looked around at the down hearted cats. This wouldnt do. They needed a leader. With a leader they would be strong because they knew Starclan had not abondoned them. The she cat gritted her teeth and called out. "Hawkshadow. I need you to come with me back to Mothermouth. I need to talk to Starclan through the Moonstone and get my nine lives. Then we shall continue on to our new home." THe she cat lifted her head commandingly. She had to. Her pale eyes were filled with sorrow for their old leader but now was the time to be strong. He would not want them to mope about, sitting on their tails and thinking only of doom.
Fireleaf looked over at winterstorm. She didn't seem to exited to be leader. He sighed and looked at oakstar again. Wondering what to do, he looked at winterstorm again and smiled a bit. He remembered the river. When him and her took a break and played tag and swam in the river. He was going to miss those fun times.

Breezepaw twithed his ears as he heard Winterstorm call Hawkshadow. Hearing the tone of her voice he wondred if she felt better about the whole leader thing. Closing his eyes he sighed and stood up. Although they were suppose to keep vigil for Oakstar he felt the need to stand. Looking at the leaders body again he sat down and kept his head low again
Hawkshadow nodded sadly and padded up to Winterstorm. She made sure that this was a good spot to camp out she nodded again and mewed to Winterstorm "I think this will do for a camp tonight". She sat down and waited for her to sat when she was ready to go to the Moonstone.
Winterstorm nodded to the medicine cat. "Alright, lets go. I dont want to take to much time while we are there." With that she turned to leave. Hawkshadow stepped up beside her. As the two she cats moved to leave Winterstorm stopped and gave one final look back at Oakstar. She refused the tears that welled in her eyes and the knot that formed in her throat. She turned and cantered away with Hawkshadow. They had a ways to go before they got to the Moonstone but it would be soon enough. After a long time of traveling the hills that bordered Windclan finally rose up showing how close they were. The two she cats skirted around them and picked their way to the Mothermouth. Before they entered, Winterstorm turned and glanced out over the moorland. Not a single blade of grass was left unburt. The harsh embers of the dying fire still glowed an angry red. This was no longer their home. Winterstorm sighed and turned to enter the cave.
