Jake swallowed after looking at Anna & got up. He went to the chalk board, he could hear his heart pounding. Ms. Carlsworth nodded for him to continue, Jake closed his eyes & took a deep breath. He opened his eyes & picked up the chalk, he saw his nails were longer & he dropped the chalk. The class laughed when he dropped the chalk, Jake glanced over his shoulder at them & looked back at his hands. He closed his eyes to try & calm down, but it didn't help. He nervously put his hand to his forehead & quickly ran out of the room, he ran upstairs to the bathroom.

Anna shot a glance at the teacher then got up grabbing her purse. "There goes his girlfriend to clean up the barf" Dyllan said as she passed. Anna stopped dead in her tracks and turned around. "Excuse me?"she almost barked it. "Run along now wolfgirl go help your boyfriend clean up his barf"he laughed. Anna slapped him across the face. "That's for trying to kiss me and this is for Jake"she said and slapped him again. "Got any more smart remarks"she barked. "God Anna Grace I was just kidding"he said holding his face. She refused to be ruffled visably although she was scared to death. 'What did I just do?'she thought to herself and walked out of the room. She ran to the bathroom to find Jake. She knocked ont he door. "Jake"she whispered her voice cracking.

Jake didn't hear Anna because all he could hear was his pounding heart, it had gotten fasterr when he realised he was changing. "Don't change, don't change." he whispered to himself, "Stay calm, stay calm." He splashed some water on his sweaty face, he took a few breathes & looked up at the mirror. The tips of his fangs were visible, his mouth was partially open & he used his fingers to lift his lip abit to see them. He furrowed his eyebrows & made a scared face, he whimpered. He looked at the back of his hands, they had some fur on them.

Anna was scared when she didn't hear him reply. "I'm coming in"she and opened the door. She saw him changing and walk over to him. "Jake"she whispered "Calm down it's okay"she put her hand on his face wiping the sweat away. "Shhh calm down Shhh it's okay"she said in a motherly and soothing tone. "Calm downit's going to be okay"

Jake bit his lip & winced, he had forgotten about his fangs. He listened to Anna's soothing tone & relaxed abit. No one had been able to calm him down like that before, he looked up at her. His eyebrows furrowed as he whimpered again, he was scared of turning into a werewolf. He still felt his heart pound causing him to be nervous.

"Shhh everything will be okay. No one will hurt you ever again or laugh at you or hurt your feelings"she said in the same tone "Just trust me and don't be scared I won't let anything hurt you I promise"she said and hugged him softly. She hummed softly to him as she hugged him. It was the song her mom used to sing to her when she was a baby. She couldn't remember the words just the tune. It always worked for her and whens he was feeling bad she would hum it.

Jake felt goosebumps on his skin when Anna hugged him, his eyes were wide. He didn't try to move away from her because he was comfortable & felt safe. He blinked slowly & felt the fur on his hands go away, he felt his fingernails return to their normal length. He heard his heart slow down abit & he gentily leaned into Anna, he felt like falling asleep.
