Derric waited for the twins & walked slowly up the road to the mansion. It rained down on them & he put his hoodie up. There was a dim light in one of the many windows at the top level. He swallowed & went forward & stood on the front steps, he looked at the large knockers on the doors.

Kenzie was grumbling slightly but it went away when she got a good look at the grounds. She looked at her sister coming over the fence. She was upset kenzie could tell this much. Once Kari got beside her Kenzie took her hand and they started walking behind Derric.

"What made you say something anyway?"Kenzie whispered in Kari's ear.

"I don't know I just felt like I need to say something"she whispered back

"You don't..."she trailed off

"'Course not"she said trying to laugh so it would be more believable.

"Uh huh"Kenzie said looking forwards.

Derric contomplated if he should knock first, he looked back & saw the group of friends were gone. 'Hm, some friends.' he thought, he licked his lips anxiously & lifted one of the knockers. He knocked on the door twice with the knocker & heard it echoe thru the mansion. He heard footsteps heading towards the doors, he swallowed & stepped back.

Kari and Kenzie where so close behind him at this point he bumped into them when he took a step back.

Kari blushed at the touch and Kenzie released her sisters hand and said "Dude watch out" before taking a step to the side. She walked up to the door and knocked quickly three more times. "Come on guys there's obviously no here let's just go in and chill out"she said.

Kari was half hidden behind Derric as she looked up at something over Kenzie's head with a terrified expression.

"What's wrong...."she trailed off into a whisper as she turned around and looked up. She swallowed and said "I uhh sorry about that"she rubbed the back of her neck then quickly joined her sister in hiding behind Derric.

Derric stared up at a man that was slightly taller than him, the man had a hump on his back & his eyes were different colors. "Good evening." he said in a strange voice, "My name is Derlock." He stepped aside & out stretched his arm to the inside of the mansion "Please...come in, you must be drenched to the bone."

Kari and Kenzie had attached themselves to each of his arms. Kenzie was on the right and Kari was on the left.

Kari looked at the man with a not so sure look in her eye but Kenzie had realized that she had attached herself to Derric's arm and she quickly let go. "You heard the man I'm soaked"she said. She was soaked through just like her sister except Kari's hair was sticking up at odd angles.

Kari was still stuck to Derric's arm.

Derric blushed & glanced at Kari, he bit his lip abit. He slowly walked into the mansion past Derlock. Derlock waited for Kari to come in, he handed Kenzie a towel & shoved a towel to Derric. He gave Kari a towel & closed the doors, it sounded alot louder in here than it would've outside. Derric jumped abit when he closed the doors, he was dripped wet.

Kenzie thanked him for the towel and started to dry off her hair.

Kari stayed close to Derric as he came in. She took the towel and flipped her short hair over. She rubbed it quickly back and forth till it was only slightly damp. When she moved the towel away her hair was everywhere. She ran ehr fingers through it till it was presentable then started drying her clothes.

Kenzie had a smile on her face when she looked at her sister.

A maid with poofy hair slid down the railing of the large staircase. Derric stared at her with wide eyes, the maid cackled in a high pitched voice. She jumped off the railing & smiled crookedly at them, she swiped her feather duster across Derric's face. He spit abit to get the dust out & coughed, the maid cackled again.
