Kari looked around feeling very isolated and out of place. She fidgetted quietly and looked down at her hands.

Kenzie started to walk over to her whens he tripped and fell. She face planted on the ground with a thud. Her vision blacked her a minute and she layed there so she could get her thoughts together.

Derric knelt down & looked at Kenzie "Are you okay?" he whispered. He looked at the maid & Derlock, he didn't trust these people. The maid cackled & smiled at Derlock, she sat on the railing. Derlock helped Kenzie up & made a crooked smile, "You're lucky you didn't hit the railing, my dear." "She's lucky, you're lucky, we're all lucky!" the maid cackled & threw the featherduster in the air. Derlock caught it calmly & dusted an old grandfather clock that was shaped like a coffin.

Kenzie looked up at him with a smile and said "Yeah thanks I'm fine"she got up and fixed her hair that was all in her face.

Kari walked over to them and fixed her shirt. "You sure your okay?"she said making sure.

"Yeah I'm fine"she said. There was a drop of blood on the left side of her lip.

Kari looked at the blood "You got a little something on your..."she said pointing to her lip.

"Huh?"she asked wiping the blood. It didn't help it smeared across her lip.

Derric gave Kenzie & Kari a small, quick smile & turned back to Derlock. "This way." Derlock said in a lingering voice, he curled his index finger to sgnal them to follow. Derric made a hesitant face & followed him, Derlock lead them to a dark staircase. It went downwards, Derlock grabbed a torch & walked down the stairs. Derric swallowed & followed him slowly, he couldn't see anything but the torch he was holding.

Kari and kenzie walked down the staircase behind Derric sticking close together in the middle of the case.

Kari happened to look at the wall and what she saw made her stop dead in her tracks. There on the wall was a small brown wolf spider.

Kenzie looked at her "What's wrong?"she asked then Kenzie noticed the spider on the wall. She took off her shoe and went to squish it

Derlock ran up to them, "No, you wouldn't want to kill this one. You would make the larger one angry." He scooped the spider into his hands & continued down the staircase. Derric made a face & glanced at Kenzie & Kari. He swallowed & folowed Derlock to a large room that looked like a dungeon. Derlock suddenly pushed Derric into a large cage, Derric tripped & fell to the stone floor. "Hey, what are you doing?!" Derris asked, "Sshhh..you wouldn't want to wake what lives in there." Derlock said with a crooked smile.

Kenzie put her shoe on and said "Okay if you say so"she continued to go down the stairs with her sister by her side.

Once they got to the bottom Kenzie looked around while Kari watched Derlock. She saw him push Derric into the cage and she stepped forwards. "What are you doing? He's not an animal let him out"she growled at the creepy little guy.

Kenzie was shocked that she had said anything much less raise her voice.

"Oh, don't worry your little friend will be just fine.....as long as animal in the cage with him isn't hungry." Derlock said still grinning. A low growl came from the dark corner of the cage, Derric turn pale white & slowly turned around. A large pair of yellow eyes glared at him, "No no no..please no please no...." Derric whispered as he closed his eyes & opened them to see a large furry figure.

"It's looks pretty hungry right now"she continued. She got in his face "Let him out now before hurt you"she growled.

"Kari please don't try to do anything. It's out of our hands. He's not going to listen to you just drop it and let's get out of here."Kenzie said grapping her arm adn pulling her towards the exit.

"What No stop we can't leave him for dead"she told her looking back at Derric. She wasn't as strong as Kenzie so she was useless

The door to the exit slabbed shut & it locked itself. Derric's heart fell to the pit of his stomach from hearing what Kenzie had said. He swallowed & stood frozen on the spot, he was in the middle of the cage. The creature growled & Derric shivered, he was breathing fast. He knew waht the creature was but prayed he was wrong, the creature stepped out. It roared at Derric & he fell over.
