The soft and small rain drops caressed my wounds as I hopped through the valley.I had just got away from battle and now I was lost.
Im sorry; I should introduce myself before I carry along with my story. My name is Velvet. Im a grey rabbit with butterscotch eyes. Well, now that youre here I should start from the beginning of my story. Lets begin.
The sun slowly rose as Velvet jumped up the bunny hole. Velvet had always been a little Different then the other rabbits. He had always loved to go explore the farm. He found the dogs Fascinating. Though the dogs of course did not think Velvet was fascinating as all. They thought of him as food.
Velvet stood on the edge of the green hill like he did every morning to watch the sunshine touch the center of the farm. The farm that Velvet watched was called "Williw creek" The name was inspired by all the willow trees around the farm, including the big one above the rabbit hole.
Watching the farm again butterscotch? Called a female voice. Youre so strange! Velvet already knew who it was. The only rabbit who called him butterscotch. Of course I am, Sundance. He turned around to see the white rabbits blue eyes watching him.She hopped over by his side and stared at the farm. I dont see why you find it so interesting. Velvet looked at her. Well today, he began. Im going to talk to one of the dog.
Are you crazy? Sundance said. Youre going to get killed! Perhaps, Velvet said. But Im so curious. Sundance sighed. Well fine, but dont come crying to me when your ear is eaten off. The white rabbit turned and jumped away. Velvet ignored her and jumped down the tall cliff down to the farm.The dogs were all still sleeping. Velvet jumped around to explore because he knew if he woke them up he WOULD get his ear bitten off.
He looked around the whole farm but the dogs were still asleep. Velvet let out a small sigh. Wake up He whispered. He looked up and his ears perked up. By the fence was a red and white pelt that shined under the sunlight. It was.a fox. The fox crouched down and slowly began to walk to the chicken coop. Velvet had never actually seen a fox so close before. He had to go talk to it. He twitched his nose and hopped over to the chicken coop where the fox had gone in. Hopping in the door he said, Hi! The fox turned it head. Why hello. The fox said with a smirk. He walked over to the brown rabbit. Nice of you to join us for supper. He opened his mouth ride and velvet quickly jumped out. Whats wrong bunny? The fox said and followed. Ill eat you so quickly it wont even hurt. Velvet gasped and quickly ran from the fire colored fox. He could only hear his heart pounding quickly in his chest and the fox running after him. But he heard something else...Dogs barking! Great Now the dogs are chasing me too Velvet was about to jump up the hill but knew theyd follow and eat all the other rabbits. Velvet swallowed and turned to his left. He ran quickly but he didnt really know where he was running to. He saw below the biggest willow tree in the farm was a hole. He could fit in it easily! Velvet quickly ran and jumped into it. He saw the animals try to get into it. Finally they gave up and walked away. Velvet sighed with relief and laid down. Ill rest for now He whispered and closed his eyes.
