"How about now?" Dino looked at Rose and back at the tunnel. Yawning he slapped his knees to call Shep over to him. His eyes strecthed wide as Shep ran up to him and jumped up into his hands. Struggling to hold him up Dino picked Shep up and threw him over his shoulder with the dogs face facing Rose, and his the other way. Turning to Rose he smiled and caught his breath. "This is what I get for keeping him." he laughed and waited for her to reply.

"Sure" Rose said she luaghed when she saw Shep jump into Dino's arms. "I geuss so" she said with luaghter in her eyes. She smiled and started to head over to the cave she grabbed her bag and sat down on a large flat rock waiting for the others to come. She looked torwards the tunnels she hoped that the king Cheetah was still there with the other cheetahs.

Dino followed Rose while he carried Shep in his arms. Motioning so Noel could follow he walked toward Rose, struggling with every step of carrying Shep. Making next to Rose he sat on the rock and pushed Shep off of him. "Next time....your carrying..me." He told the dog and tried to catch his breath as Shep walked off with his head high.

Rose smiled when she heared Dino she watched as Noel was walking torwards the cave. Rose thought of something she remembered that they would be found eventualy so her and Dino woulden't be able to be together after this she felt pain fill her eyes they would have to seperate again like the last time in 3rd grade.

Dino looked at Rose and cold tell she was sad. Looking back at Shep who had jumped in the water and started swimming Dino stood up and walked over to the water too. Sitting down he looked back at Rose and smiled. "Whats wrong?" Jumping in the water to cool off he turned to Rose and tilted his head alittle.

Rose turned to Dino "Their going to find us sometime" she started "Me and you" she paused "We won't be able to be together" she finished. She looked down at her feet and said "I just know it's going to be like that day in 3rd grade. we most likely won't see each other again".

Dino looked down for a minute then at Rose. Sighing he jumped out of the water and on to the rock. Sitting next to her he looked at Shep and sighed again. "That wont happen...i mean we WILL eventually be rescued but Ill do everything I can to stay with you." he smiled and hugged her with his wet clothes. Getting her all wet he ran inside the cave and called shep.

Rose nodded "I really hope we can" she said. she felt him hug her she was wet now too. She saw that the sun was high in the sky now she got up and went inside the cave she walked over to Dino "I think we should leave now" she said. She felt a small spasm go through her stomach she winced a little bit but the pain soon eased.

Dino turned and nodded. "Ok." Seeing Noel walk in too, he watched Shep run ahead. squeezing water from his shirt he smelled himself and shook his head. "It feels good to get in that water, but its no shower." Laughing he started to walk again.

Rose watched Shep run ahead into the tunnel she looked back up at Dino and followed him She looked back around to see Noel behind her. She saw the split tunnels up ahead she remembered that the left one was the way to the king cheetah. She just wanted to get to the end of the tunnel already. She looked at the tunnel wall.
