Mei-Ling hid behind the tree next to the 3 kids.. no, teens, listening to their conversation. She was often like this, shy and observervant. Usually, she'd know strangers well in 2 days. She'd know their full name, stuff about their family, their crushes, how good they are at oragami.. Mei-Ling'd know that before she would even speak a single word to them. She sighed a soft sigh. Swiftly as ever, the pretty girl stepped out from her hiding spot and strolled casually towards the teens. "Hi," she whispered softly in her heavy accent, staring at the ground. "I'm Mei-Ling." She smiled a shy smile, then stared at the ground, blushing.
OOC: Just to let you know, we were still walking and if you were a bender you have been with us walking the whole time ;D
Ren shot a quick glance in the direction of the girl with dark hair and eyes. He lifted a brow before grunting a greeting and continuing to walk on. The boy had noticed that the only other boy in the group still refused to talk to anyone. He seemed to be absorbed in his own thoughts. It was fine by Ren though. The less people he had to worry about, the better. The scenery around them had been the same it had been for miles. A dirt path with a few trees here and there. In the distance were hills of soft green colors and if you listened hard enough you could hear the sound of the sea rolling against the sand beaches at the edge of the Earth Kingdom's continent. Yet, they group of kids had to keep traveling along without stopping to admire the scenery. Ren had to lead them to the port that he had found the benders at. After that it would be the job of the next non bender who had seen the group to put the next pieces of the puzzle together.
If that excuse for a king even thinks about hurting my sister, I won't let any of his precious army stop me from... Was as far as he god before he noticed that a girl had made her presence known. Maybe he should too. It would be a good thing, after all, to know everyone on his team. Or so he told himself. It was more to calm himself down and not worry about Mari. "I'm Ryuu." He stated, not giving his full name. The only people who really knew his name were Mari and his mother, leaving Mari the only living person other than him to know his name. He didn't mind it being like that. All the better.

OOC: ^^ she was near a tree and saw you guys :) and i'm assuming the girl is Mei-Ling..
IC: Mei-Ling saw in the cornor of her eyes a boy watching her carefully. She blushed even more, her face turning a bright pink that was visible on her skin. She didn't know why she was getting embarressed. It was confusing. She usually wasn't that shy... well, she really only hung out with her parents and her sister a.k.a best friend, Ai-Li (Ay-Lee) Tang. Mei-Ling sighed. She dared to look up, only to find herself look back down. Why can't i act like a normal person and stare straight into the boy's eye? Mei-Ling thought long about that question, but no answer came. She sighed and finally looked at the boy. He was beautiful, no doubt. She smiled a little smile. "You're name?" she asked softly.
OOC; I think its Ren since he interacted with her first... well we can clear that up later for now lets keep going ;D
Ren was still unsure if the girl was talking to him since he had not turned to look at her again. He had heard the only other boy introduce himself before the girl had spoken so she must have been talking to him. With a small sigh he once again introduced himself, "My name's Ren." He didnt bother to give a last name. Instead he just trudged on. The sun was beginning to set beyond the horizon letting him know it was time to stop. He slowed the pace and turned to the group he was leading, "I think we should stop now. The spot i last saw them isnt going anywhere. Wakling around in the dark wont do us any good. Lets make camp." With that the boy turned off the path and dropped the medium sized back pack he had carried on his back on to the floor. Tucked inside was a small case of his warrior make up his warrior battle tunic and a blanket. He removed the blanket and spread it on the floor as his spot to sleep. With a sigh he plopped on to the blanket and readied himself for a small meal with the rest of the group before they would sleep.
Aiko kept her pace in the front of the group, her dark onyx black hair flowing behind her in a ponytail. She seemed a great distance away from them in her mind. But she was only a few feet away. Her four-legged friend lopping at her side. His name was Ping. She looked down at him and gave him a gentle pat on the head. She blinked her amber eyes and then turned to look at her group. She went over and to a girl with a blush on her face and a guy. She went over and said, " Mei-Ling? Right? " She looked at the girl. Ping barked a hig pitched happy squeal and looked up at her. " I'm Aiko and this is Ping " She stated. " Ren." She turned to the guy. He looked strong and different then everyone. She sighed and pulled out of her bag a bit of food and water. She went and sat down next to the boy.

Ryuu saw everyone seem to do their own thing, so he walked over to an old tree and stomped on the ground, causing some branches to fall out. Not big enough, but they would do. He pulled them over, stacked them up, put a few stones around them and frowned. This was the tricky part. He didn't want to talk to anyone else, not especially, and he particularly did not want to ask for help with starting a fire. That should be easy enough to anyone. He sighed, and turning his back to the group, picked up two stones that resembled flint and began scraping them together quickly, hoping to create sparks. A small spark floated down to the pile of branches, not igniting.
"Silly Ru-Ru! How do you expect to do it like that?" Chided a voice in his head. He shook it, and resumed his spark-creating attempt.

Ren tossed a look at the girl that now sat beside him. He had pulled out a small bag of dried food from his pack and was munching on it slowly. The girl that sat next to him now as the leader of the unit of benders that he had to lead. He studied her for a moment before nodding at her. He didnt speak but merely kept eating the portion of his meal. After he wiped away the crumbs for his plain shirt he stretched himself out over his blanket and stared up at the sky. It was beginning to show stars now and all light was fading. "You are a fire bender right?" He had made sure to take a mentla note of who did what on this team before he had left with them. "Why dont you go help ol' Rocky over there figure out that asking a fire bender for help will save more time and energy when trying to build a fire." A small devilish grin spread on his lips for a moment. So these benders were a new team and didnt even trust eachother enough to ask for help.
A pebble flew up from its harmless position on the ground and struck Ren's hand, not particularly hard, more of like in a joke. Ryuu didn't turn around from where he had hit his fist into the ground, but resumed his spark-attempt, and did get a minuscule flame to light. He gently blew on it, and watched with mild satisfaction as the flames rose, but died a moment later and disappeared from existence.
"Ru-Ru! You silly goose! That's not how you do it! Do it like this!" Another image of a young, laughing girl flitted through his mind.
