Ebonycloud stepped in to the grand hall that the ball was taking place at. His ice blue eyes stared out instensely behind his blood red mask. A cloak matching the color of his mask and a rose that he held tenderly in his hand draped his shoulders and rippled easily down his back like folded wings. He glanced easily at the guests. Some wore old fashion costume that made them look like vampires. Others looked more modern. The tall dark man-cat was dressed slightly like both, almost vitorian era. The group that he had chose to come along with were great friends of his, if not a bit snobbish. He usually stood in the back of them with a pride filled gaze, almost refusing to give most people the time of day, or so it seemed.
One dress amongst the the tables caught his eye, it was one he was very familiar with and the edge of his lip tugged up. The young man stepped away from his group and toward the girl sitting alone. "Good evening," he greeted her when he was standing near her table.

Karma poked at the food that was on the plate before her, even though it wasn't hers it appeared untouched and she was saddened by the waste of the food. When all of a sudden she heard a familiar voice say "good evening" She turned around suddenly and smiled. even hidden behind his mask she recognized his bright eyes

Ebonycloud glanced slightly at the food that his friend had yet to eat, "Not hungry?" His question was frivolous but he knew she needed some sort of conversation. "I dont see anyone else sitting at your table. Mind if i join you for a while?" He tilted his head slightly to the side for a moment.

"Go ahead!" Karma smiled "So hows it going? This is a pretty fun masquerade! But I'm not doing much dancing so I'm not sure exactly how fun" Karmabell chuckled and looked around. She saw her best friend dancing with a boy she probably just met. " Thanks so much for the dress by the way, Its so incredible."

Ebonycloud gave a soft chuckle, "Its the least i can do for you." He turned his attention to the group he had come with. They had dispersed and moved off to find partners to dance with. The young man would catch up with them later. Before he knew it realized that he had not been paying Karma any attention. He scolded himself for being rude and managed to say, "Would you care to dance your first dance with me? Im not much of a dancer myself but i would like to dance with a friend." A small smile appeared on his dark furred face.

Freeflare walked into the grand hall & looked around at the decorations & people around. She walked over to the food table where a couple other people were standing & talking. She looked at the food somewhat curiously & looked at the other two, "Hello." She smiled abit being friendly as usual & waited for a reply.

OOC: Im assuming that youre talking to us ;D We are at a table somewhere near the food table but not directly at the food table

Ebonycloud turned his ice blue eyes over his shoulder to see another addition to their company. "Hello," he said easily and tilted his head to the side, "May we help you with something?" The young man was rather cold and aloof with the people he didnt know to well or who just joined them. He glanced up the new girl with cold eyes, not because he was trying to scare her away, he just was awkward about meeting knew faces.

Just as Karma was about to accept Ebb's offer a cat came over to them and said hello "Why Hello there, " Karma replied. "Sure Ebb's I would love to dance, excuse us" Said Karma to the cat who had walked up to them.

Ebonycloud nodded softly to the new she cat and gently extended a hand to Karma. "Alright then." He helped her up from her seat and let her arm slip through his like a gentle man would do. He led her out to the floor and smiled softly. "Promise me you wont slap me if i step on your feet," he laughed to himself and released her arm. He stood in front of her and gave a bow. As he stood back up he grinned softly and offered her his hand for the slow dance.

"Of course not! As long as you don't run away from my klutzy dancing" Karma joked. At Ebony's boy she curtsied and took it outstreched hand then she said quitly "You know I am really a terrible dancer, and I wouldn't be surprised if you did run away from my likely to be embarassing dancing." Karma blushed and started to dance to the slow smooth rhythm of the song
