well, you can always write it on paper. i'm not sure if people know that. xD i didn't until i read about it. most of mine will probably be on paper until i can type it up. XD

i prefer to type it up, i hate writing by hand!!
we had to do a story and it HAD to be hand written -- we would get 0's if not -- and it was soo friigggin tirringg!! X3

Some tips for those doing NaNoWriMo! :

1] musicmusicmusic -- not only does music set the mood for parts of your story to get the inspiration flowing, it helps me [ personally ] focus much better than without music. also, it may help you come up with a scene, too. ;3

2] encouragement -- get your friend to do it, too, and encourage eachother to keep going. its probably the best thing to do!

3] writer's block? no problem! -- take a break - if you play an instrument, practice it, and come back when your muse is back. choir? then sing your lungs out! when i have writer's block, i listen to music, but my whole life is music.

4] lacking ideas or inspiration... or both? -- inspirations and ideas can come from anywhere. look around you. maybe that red balloon? or that old brick house? or the creeping ivy on the tree? ;3

5] HAVE FUN, AND NO BACKSPACE!!! -- just write, let your ideas flow. do not use the backspace button! save any ideas! deleting them is your enemy, even if you want to!

For YouTube? I've got an amazing friend who makes playlists for me all the time :D *three cheers for Darky!*

So yeah. :o I don't listen to mainstream though, that gets me off-track on how much I dislike this band, or that band, or that one over there. I don't like much mainstream, so I listen to instrumental and stuff.

Instrumental, other languages, to me, they're all the help I need. I put it on, and my writing follows that mood. So don't give me any sad songs unless you want characters dying! XD

Same here with Dusky. I like the song "The River Flows in You", please look that one up! Try and stick to instrumental, that's what always helps me. If you can't find anything good, just look up karaoke instrumentals to your favourite songs and listen to them. You'll be surprised at all the amaising sounds that can be heard behind the singer's voice, and they're so inspiring. Just let the mood flow into your writing. You can always throw it out and write on a different track if you don't like how it turned out! Hope this helps! :D
