Kit nodded in agreement. "Hear that Theo? You get to rest tonight." He grinned to himself and turned to the rest of the Flock, "Lets scavenge what we can since Theo doesnt have much food left on him." With that he stood and trotted away, looking like your average everyday man. Even though he was only a teenager, he was the hieght of a tall man. He looked to be probably about the age of 24. A few head turned to watch him, some approving of his looks. A few others looked at him with indifference but most just ignored him. Kit made his way behind a McDonalds and waited in the shadows. No one noticed him so he crept forward to the dumpster and found quite a few untouched burgers. He lifted his brows at how they could throw out completely good food. He stuffed the still warm items in to his jacket before he managed to grab a few other items and slipped away. No one noticed and he made his way back with a smile. "Foods on me today," he laughed.
Blaike smiled in his direction and grabbed a burger. Her teeth sank into it and she smiled. It felt good to eat again. Her mind raced over everything. The food, the School, Max and her gang. Was she really going to meet THE Maximum Ride? All the stories that she heard, about how Max had escaped and she was hiding out in some mountains, and then she began traveling everywhere, taking the 'bad guys out.' She smiled again. She felt happy. She looked over at Kit. She saw a lightness, and a carefree look in his eyes. Never had the bird kids had this much hope before. "Thank you for coming back for me by the way." She said to him. "It was really brave." She didn't know what she would have done if he hadn't, and she was left there all alone...
Saturn sat alone in a tree. She wished the others would at least listen or talk to her. Now that they were out of the school, she felt more lonley than ever. No one payed attention to her when she tried to talk to them, and When they listened it was only because they seemed bored. Yet she was glad that they talked to eachother alot more. She just wished someone would talk to her.
Kit had stuffed his face with a burger when Blaike thanked him. He took a moment to swallow before he jabbed her playfully in the shoulder, "Come on Commander, how could i leave you behind? If i did I would have to listen to Theo complain all day or worry about all the decisions myself." He shrugged his shoulders before grabbing another burger. "Its the least i could do. You and I have been goin through these tests since forever. I couldnt leave you behind just because a fly boy was in the way." He turned back to her and winked his wild green eyes at her. "Dont worry about it." With that he stretched out on the ground. It wasnt a plush bed but it beat the heck out of the cages he had been sleeping in. "Tomorrow we head out and thats that." The boy turned a tender smile toward his friend, "Night Commander."

She smiled a soft smile towards him. "G'night Captain." She continued to smile as she stared off across the park. She couldn't shake the feeling in the pit of her stomach. She lay down and stared up at the night's sky. It really was a beautiful sight. And even more beautiful with the fact that everything was falling into place. They were heading off tomorrow, and they could fly where ever they wanted. No rules, no one keeping eyes on them, nothing. Everything was working out perfectly. She relished the thought of not sleeping in those cages ever again.
Saturn saw the others getting ready to sleep. As she lay on her comfortable tree branch she stared at the night sky. The others had decided to sleep a couple of lengths away, and probly didn't know she was in the tree. She was happy that they were all getting along as they stayed free. Saturn watched as the moon shone brightley on where the others slept, while the leaves of the tree covered her in darkness. Was she to be seaperated from them to make them stay free? Or was it that they didn't need her? Being the youngest experiment, She had been tampered with alot less than the others, because they had seen flaws and corrected them. But the others looked perfect. She felt like more of a freak than them. As she slept alone, waiting for the sun to come up, she wondered why she even existed.
Kit slept but not for very long without the headaches entering his dreams again. It polluted his mind with visions of the labs and tanks they had put him in. He felt like he was sofocating and that no matter what he did he couldnt wake. He felt needles and pins being stuck in to his arms all through the night. As he tossed and turned his mouth opened wide in a silent scream. No noise came from his and his tormented dream continued through the night. His body brought out in to a cold sweat and tears streaked his cheeks when the sun finally rose and brought forth its light.
Blaike's night's sleep was restless. No matter which way she lay she couldn't get comfortable. It was as if her heart beat was on loud speaker for the entire world to hear. Her head was pounding. She did her best to shut it out, but no such luck. Her eyes fluttered open and she saw the faint light of the sun. She clamped her eyes shut, it was too bright to look at. She heard heavy breathing and thought it was her own at first. She turned over and saw Kit, his hair was pressed against his forehead. She put her hands on his shoulders to shake him awake, fighting her own aches and pains. "Kit, Kit can you hear me? Wake up, it's just a dream..." Or was it? All of this was starting to freak her out.
Scott closed his eyes and though about Theo. There was no food that he wanted, even though his stomach growled. No one would care of he ate or not, but they would be angry that he wasted their food. Theo, he suddenly realized, was a loner! An outcast, just like him! He decided to talk to the older boy in the morning, outcast to another.

Saturn woke up, covered in sweat. She had had a nightmare about the last test that the scientists had done on her before she had escaped. She had been in a maze filled with traps. Every time she slowed down, they zapped her with this detector anklet. She ran and ran but couldn't get through the maze. She saw Scott being shot at, bullets flying all over. "Just a nightmare..."She said, still shaking. She knew it wouldn't be that easy to forget. The others were still sleeping, caught up in their own nightmares.
