Zemmie slowly folded her wings to make herself a little blanket, and let her eyes slip into a sleep. "Imma sleep now, guys," she muttered tiredly. "Wake me up if a mad scientist is chasing after us." She waited for awhile, but suddenly, her mind started playing memories of the school. Scenes of those long, horrid needles and the ugly scientists filled her brain and she jerked awake. She sighed. I hate this, she muttered. I hate the school. I hate the memories. I hate everything. Why do I have to be a bird-kid? It's not fair. Why can't I be normal? Zemmie thought about it, and soon enough, her mind went blank, into a dreamless sleep.

OOC; Just a reminder, you guys can have nightmares, just not painful ones that Blaike and Kit have since weve established that they were the only to be injected with the stuff that causes the pain and nightmares ;D

Scott ran to Theo's side. "I've had NO friends in my life. Everyone ignores me. There's no one that's ever wanted me there. My opinion doesn't matter to anyone!" he yelled, anger flaring in his heart. He clenched his teeth and fists. He wanted a friend. Was that so hard? "All I want is a friend."

Saturn got back up in her tree and found aa thick branch.Yet again, the moon's light washed over her friends as the tree leaves veiled her in darksess. She wished they could be calm and sleep together, but with the way things were, everybody either slept in pairs or alone. She was sleeping alone in a tree. She stared out at the stars as they shone brightley upon the world. As usual, she thought about how she was the youngest and smallest experiment. Scott, Zemmie, Blaik, Kit, and Theo.... the scientists had given tham better wings and experimented with them longer. A girl named Yue had been a good friend of hers, but had died of a gunshot wound. She remembered all the scars on her. Saturn then pushed those thoughts aside and went into a restless sleep.

"At least you always knew you didn't have friends. I was stupid then, but I thought the other experiments might want to talk to me. They pretended they did, but it was in truth a lie, all to use me as a scapegoat for any wrong they may have done. I was easily marked down as the one who caused all trouble, and the scientist stopped questioning the others, punishing me. I was always punished, be it with weapons testing, or intelligence testing. I don't care how hard you think your life was, you had it easy." Theo's voice had dropped dangerously low, his anger at this kid's impudence now showing.

Zemmie jerked awake, not because of anything in particular. Maybe perhaps of her 'oh-i-don't-want-to-sleep' habit, or because she wanted to eavesdrop on Theo's conversation. She chose choice dos.
She leaned closer to Theo and Saturn, trying not to give away that she was fully awake. Her eyes stayed shut, though her ears were fully open. Zemmie smiled. Boy, was Theo one interesting guy.

Scott sighed. "I'm sorry I wasted your time, which happens every time I open my mouth," he spat and stalked away. He dropped himself on the ground, and pulled his wings close to him. He didn't know why Theo was so mean to him. He didn't say he had it harder than him! He just asked to be friends. He felt tears running down his cheeks. Now he really knew how ereyone else felt. It was the same for him though. Everyone pretended like they liked him, but really they didn't. He never felt more alone.

Saturn woke up to more shouting. She went to Scott. "S-scott , are you okay?Why... don't tell me, let's just get to bed."Saturn said, fear searing through her. Why was he shouting like that? She stood by him, looking at Theo. Theo had always been blamed at the school, but to her, everyone shared the blame.
