Theo dropped back further, until he had got close enough that he was within speaking range of Max's flock. This was dangerous territory, he knew, and he was going to be seen as dangerous - for he was bigger, stronger, and better trained - and she probably hated all their guts. That he knew too. That was too bad. She'd have to learn a few things.
"Max!" he called. Her head swiveled up, and Fang flew closer to her, glaring openly at him.
"What do you want?" she growled.
"I wanted to tell you that this isn't those little ones' faults. They wanted to find you to find a solution to their headaches, not to capture you. No one ever told them that if they found you, their headaches would go away."
"Why should I believe you?"
"Why would I lie to you?"
"To get us back on your side so you can send us to some other bad place?"
"If you haven't noticed, the worst place in the world has just blown up."
"So?"
"You children are impossible," he muttered, huge winds lazily flapping, as theirs worked hard to keep up with his speed.

Saturn saw the group being distant. She also saw Theo next to Max, who seemed really mad. She flew to the middle in between both flocks as they soared through the sky, ready to run if she needed to.She felt distant from them, but put that aside. She flew up next to rather angrey Scott who had a leave-me-alone-Saturn look. She flew towards the other flock, and was next to Fnag, who was mad. She kept a good distance away, fear in her eyes. She knew that it was a bad idea to come over, because he looked at her with cold forboding eyes. She read peoples eyes very carefully when she was near them. She stayed a good distance away, waiting for him to say'Go away pipsqueek. Your a waste of our time.' and shivered with fear.

Scott dropped back, not even looking at Kit, not caring. He saw Max's flock, and Theo probably arguing with them. It was so hard to say anything these days. He grumbled under his breath and flipped a few times, gracefully. He wanted to go over and talk to Kit, who always was fun to talk to, until now. He felt like mud, always there and you can't get rid of it no matter what you do, but you hate it.

Scott let his head hang. "It's okay. I just, just, don't know what I said. I mean, who doesn't say, 'interesting', once in a while? I bet even Kit does, and is he a fool? I think not!" he hissed, and then let himself hang again. "I'm kinda envious, you know? I never had anyone who loved me. They have it good," I sighed. Tears fell from my cheeks. That night, he would run away. Far away, and no one would ever find him. It wouldn't make a difference if he was gone. That made the thought and his idea come back... He'd have to run it by Blaike, and see what she thought. He had some reasons nobody would agree with, but he would have to try.
