Scorchheart turned on the SHaodowclan warrior who was on Jaggedpine. Hissing, she lapt at him and barreled him over, causing him to fall off of Jaggedpine. She dug her fangs into his tail and he gave a yelp of pain. "Thanks for coming ZJaggedpine, and you guys too!" she said through tuffts of fur.

Jaggedpine saw a cat about to attack Scorchheart, and he lunged at it. It fell uner his claws and he dug them into the cat's shoulders. "Never come into ThunderClan territory again you piece of fox dung!" he hissed. Hethought he heard the cat give a shaky laugh.
"And you mouse-brains think you deserve more territory than us? We're much more noble and loyal than you'll ever be!" the cat snarled. Jaggedpine fastened his teeth into her scruff and tore tufts of fur from her neck. He shredded her ear, and she yowled in pain. "Let me go!" she shrieked. Jaggedpine stood and the warrior dashed off.

Scorchheart whirled to face the she-cat. "YOU loyal?! Yeah right! YOU DON'T RESPECT THE CODE AND HAVE BROKEN IT!" she roared. SHe leapt at the cat that had attacked Paintedleaf, hitting him over the head and kicking his face, shredding his flank to =bits. "Since wqhen does being loyal mean you break the code?!" she roared.

Jaggedpine smiled at Scorchheart and thought, "good point". He lashed out at one of the few remaining ShadowClan cats. t leaped back at him, but he slashed its face. He screamed and fell to the ground. Jaggedine jumpd on top of him and dug his claws into his flank. He cried again, and Jaggedpine saw that he was maybe a young warrior. "Flashnose!" a female voive screeched, and Jaggedpine felt something slam into him. A she-cat was suddenly on top of him. "You won't touch Flashnose!" she snarled. Jaggedpine raked his claws across her belly and she flew back. Jaggedpine latched onto her shoulders and she screamed. Suddenly, another group of ShadowClan warriors flooded over the border! They were led by the she-at that Jaggedpine had sent running back to camp!

Scorchheart gave a yowle and leapt at the leading cat. "YOU ARE NO MORE LOYAL TO THIS FOREST THAN A PEICE OF FOX DUNG YOU BADGER STENCH!" she roared. They had called themselves loyal? They would pay. SHe slashed up the she cats back and she fell to the ground writhing in pain. She remembered-you don't kill unless it's necessary. It wasn't at the present time. She gave the she-cats ear a tearing and let her race off. She looked around at the other cats-and charged at the largest on. He smacked her away but she came back and hit him hard. He kicked her away, smirking. "And what, you expect to cause me damage?" he chuckled. SHe flared up and fluffed out her fur, charging in at him. She slashed at him unprotected underbelly, and he gasped in pain. SHe had a gash along her shouldier. "You think I'll give up at that?!" she hissed.

Duskstar's ears pricked suddenly as a yowl floated over the forest, from the ShadowClan side of their territory. "That sounds like Jaggedpine!" She sighed harshly. "What is he doing out of camp? Ebonycloud, will you go see what they're doing? I have to go check on the camp, because if Jaggedpine isn't there, then I don't know who is guarding the queens and kits." She shook her head, standing up. "I'll bring a patrol to help you after I make sure the camp is safe. It sounds like you might need it." Lifting the rabbit from the ground - there was no way she would waste such fat prey in leafbare - she raced away, dodging and leaping over brambles and bushes, her sight returning to her in flashes, if only managing to disorientate her. She slowed down when she reached the thorn wall and skid under the tunnel, into camp. Chest heaving, she relaxed when she felt that there was no panic, no struggle within the camp, only confusion at her abrupt arrival. "Did Jaggedpine set anyone out to guard the camp?" she asked, instinctively focusing on the highledge, and the fact that no one was sitting atop it. When the cats replied no, she sighed. "Bluepelt, Pouncetail, Pinewhisker, with me; there's trouble at the ShadowClan border. Midnightstep, guard the camp." The warriors she called to her assembled and Midnightstep leaped up to the Highledge. "StarClan willing, we'll be back shortly." And she leaped out of the camp, the warriors on her heels, racing to the border. Hesitating for not a heartbeat, she leaped at the first cat she saw, instantly noticing the movement of the borders with her nose. "Get off of my territory!" she yowled, raking claws down a cat's shoulders, hearing him yelp in surprise at the sight of ThunderClan's leader.

Jagedpine raced to help Scorchheart with the big cat. It was Eaglescar! He slashed at the cat's ear, and it tore. The warrior yowled and cuffed Jaggedpine over the head, sending him soaring. He fell, quickly stood, and dashed at the nearest cat, trapping him under his claws. It took him a second to see that it was Flashnose. Jaggedpine laughed. This cat couldn't fight at all! He wriggled underneath the ThunderClan deputy's claws. "Gloryflight!" he screamed, and Jaggedpine thought that was the she-cat that had protected Flashnose. That just made Jaggedpine laugh harder. He fastened his teeth around the cat's foreleg and raked his claws deep across his belly.

Scorchheart leapt back at Eaglescar, her claws hinged into his back. He gave a yowle as he tried to buck her off-but it was no use. She bit into his head and he gave a cry. He ran around, slamming her into a tree. She didn't let go the first tiem. sucking it in. But he rushed at a much thicker and spiky tree. She was slaamed off of him. SHe got up, her vision clouding a bit. SHe saw Eaglescar going for Duskstar. "NO!" she yowled, leaping at his tail. SHe bit it as hard as possible, like she was trying to tear it off.

Jaggedpine jumped off Flashnose and raced at Eaglescar. That cat was enormous! There were multiple scars n him, but he seemed unharmed. Jaggedpine latched onto the cat, causing him to trip. The deputy tried to claw at Eaglescar's ears, but the cat was writhing too much. "You hurt my leader, and you'll wish you were never born!" he hissed, clawing at the cats belly. Eaglescar threw him off again, but Jaggedpine fastened his teeth on the cat's tail.
