Ebonycloud frowned a little as he trotted closer to his dear friend, "Come on leader. It cant really be all that bad now." He turned his ice blue eyes toward the camp entrance. Paintedleaf was tredding on soft soil when it came to sassing back. She needed a good lesson on how to act around those of higher rank but it was not his place to teach such a thing. He was merely just a warrior. A warrior who was a friend of the leader.
THe black tom shrugged his shoulders, "How about a nice run to clear your mind... and your nose." He grinned wickedly, knowing she couldnt see but she would know by the tone of his voice. "Once Jaggedpine gets back we can be on our way." He flicked the she cat across the shoulders with his tick furred tail.

Ooc: Lol, I still can't tell if I want Dusky to be blind or not, since the original dusky wasn't, but I've grown to love blind!Dusky. So fffft. Did I mention somewhere that she can see? Nevermind, I have a good idea in a way to twist this |D

Ic: Duskstar rolled her eyes as she nodded in assent. "Sure, why not. I need a run, especially now." For the moment she could see the world around them, but she knew her sight was not to be trusted. Not when it left her so randomly, left her to the mists and darkness of blindness. She had learned to trust her senses, and to enjoy sight when she had it. Of course, being a deputy was never easy, not with how often ThunderClan was mocked for having a partially-blind deputy. 'Do you have so few cats that you picked this useless apprentice for a deputy?' one ShadowClan cat had jeered. Their words always stood with her, always poked her, prodded her, acted as thorns would, matted in her fur, always driving her to prove herself. She really needed to relax. "Let's go. Jaggedpine's report can wait, since the other cats looked so obviously carefree."

Scorchheart arrived with the mouse in her jaws, seeing Dusksar in a bad mood. Ebbonycloud looked like he was trying to find a way for her to cool off, so she deposoted the mouse in the fresh kill pile sitting a ways from them. She didn't want to be an eaves dropper to their conversation, and really didn't have anything particular to talk about. Shatterstep looked buissy too, so she sat there and waited to see if there was anything else she needed to do. If not, she was going to go back to find Jaggedpine and Paintedleaf.

Ebonycloud grinned softly, "Alright then. I will follow you leader." He nodded toward the entrance to the camp and waited for her to move. Having a clan full of cats that were slightly less than disiciplined could grate on the nerves a lot. Ebonycloud did his best to try and help Duskstar from exploding in fits of rage. He remember how difficult it was for her to train as an apprentice. He had done his best to make her feel accepted and that was what forged their strong friendship. Yet even at times his influence wasnt enough. Yet he always gave her his warm caring smile whenever she needed it... or when she could see it.

"Stop calling me that!" she exclaimed, managing a light smile as she bounded through the thorn tunnel, heading into the forest. "StarClan knows no one else does, you should least of all!" She gazed ahead, merely drinking in the forest with sight, knowing exactly where to leap, to dodge, to turn, simply by using her paws, her whiskers, her nose and ears. It came so easily to her now, that she knew any blind kits would have no problems growing up and becoming warriors, not in ThunderClan anyway. "Would you like to go rabbit hunting? Or voles?" she asked, calling over her shoulder as she leaped over a log and landed easily, sliding to a stop.

Ebonycloud's eyes glowed with a teasing light, "Why shouldnt i call you leader? Ive been following you around since you became an apprentice. It only suites our relationship. I, the ever faithful subordinant, and you the noble leader. I think its fine calling you leader." The tom's face pulled in to that of a pout, "Unless you really dont like being called leader." He chuckled to himself for a moment before he decided to knock it off. "As for hunting... Rabbits are harder to chase. Think you can keep up?"

She rolled her eyes, about to reply with a, 'it reminds me of life' before she was teased. "I think the correct question is, can you keep up? After all, I don't need to see to know where I'm going~" With a swish of her tail, she was off, racing toward the more open area of their territory, of her territory, slowing down only when they entered the area where rabbits enjoyed to live. Light as a feather, she padded across the ground, ears swiveling back and forth, keeping track of anything that moved, that made a sound.

Ebonycloud followed behind her easily. His long legs making up for the lack of expert knowlege that Duskstar carried. He watched her with a warm glow in his eyes as she set about her work to catch a rabbit. He sat a few tail lengths away, just to give her that space. She needed to let her frustration out here rather than back at camp. Plus, he enjoyed watching her hunt. It was... interesting to say the least. When she was an apprentice she had had a harder time concentrating on a single sense in order to catch prey yet now she managed to catch just about everything she set out to catch. The tom curled his thick tail around his paws and watched with anticpation.

Duskstar acknowledged Ebonycloud's position away to the side with a flick of her tail in greeting, closing her eyes to further immerse herself in the outside world. There. In that bush off to the left, two or three rabbits, a large and two smaller ones. A grin slid across her face as she crept over, paws touching the earth lighter than a falling leaf, absorbing the world around her in the feeling of things moving beneath. Sweeping her tail low, she caught a twig and stepped on it, using her claws to make it crack. The rabbits leaped out of the bush - just as expected - and she tore after the largest one, racing after it for just moments before she leaped and it was struggling beneath her paws, and she bit it on the neck, picking the motionless body up a moment later.

Ebonycloud grinned deeply and balanced himself on his hind quarters as he clapped his two front paws together. He managed that for a few moments as he called out, "Great catch as always leader. That rabbit didnt stand a chance." The black tom dropped back to his paws and trotted forward. "So, does this one smell any better than the fish?" His fluffy black tail flicked her across the nose in a teasing gesture.
