Easton got up and told Alexia to stay put while he went over to the door. Looking through the peep hole he saw a the animal that was squeling and just as he was about to let it in a pod person jumped into his line of sight. Before he could say 'sneeze' the pod person ripped apart the poor animal and Easton jumped back scared to death of the scene outside the window. He pushed a desk infront of the door just for insurance. Walking back to the couch he sat down and crossed his legs infront of him.

Alexia heard one last yelp and then a pitifull squeal of defeat. Easton's breathing had increased rapidly so she guessed he hadn't gotten there in time. She walked slowly over to where he was breathing,wrapping her arms around his arm. She didn't speak, not knowing what to say and not wanting to offend him. She sat with him, the silence only penatrated by the sickening crack of bones outside the door.

Easton flinched everytime there was a bone crunch or a rip. "I can handle this much longer" he said totally crushed by the idea of the animal getting slaughtered. He burried his face in her hair to try and block out the mental image he was getting and the sound.

Alexia hugged him, wanting to releive the pain. SUddenly, she remembered something. "I happen to have a pair of ear plugs or two if you need them...." she whispered, fishing them out. SHe handed them to easton, listening to his agitaed breathing. The scikening crack of bones and flesh was immediatly cut off as she put them on, glad for releif. She hoped Easton would at least try to get the sound out, it sounded like it was killing him.

With every crunch of bone it crushed Easton. No matter how hard he tried to be 'man' about these things he just couldn't. People or things in pain just tore at something inside him and made him want to go crazy. Instead of putting the ear plugs in he put his hat on and layed his head in Alexia's lap. Easton's whole body was tense and soon the crunching was over but he still couldn't relax.

Alexia felt him shaking with intimidation.The crunching stopped and footsteps moved down the stairs with slight moaning. She gentlyput her hand on Easton's head feeling his hair. It was wet with presperation. She wondered-why was he trying to man up to this? ANyone would feel shocked and nervouse about it. But she held her tongue with ease. Now was not the time to ask questions.

All he could think about was his dad and what happened back in Liverpool. "Alexia I'm sorry." he whispered. He looked up at her and felt like a big baby because of the events that were flowing back into his mind like some had flipped a switch. His dad and his mom yelling, the punches, the crying, and then the crunch. Easton waited for her to say something.

Alexia felt him shivering, as if trying to hold back tears. "It's alright...I don't blame you." she answered. She looked to where the computer was. "I think we might be able to make a cure with my medical skills." she told him."But we need Flick, and his forula to which he used to create this." she added. SHe gently stroked his forehead, wanting to sooth the pain, but knowing she couldn't, she let him lay there.

Easton tried to pull himself together and got up trying to shake it off. It wasn't good to be worked up because of his blood sugar. Grabbing the chair he went over to the computer to try and figure out how to find his formulas. "Okay what do I have to do?" he asked her ready to get this on the road.
