Flick let out a huff of laughter. "Kind of. I'll give you directions to my lab," he said. He shuddered, watching the woman. He took a deep breath. "First, we need to get to the attic," he said, tightening his grip on the crowbar, sweat beading on his forehead. He didn't trust that woman.

IC: Hayley smiled and nodded. Walking silently out into the room she watched the lady shiver with her back toward's them. Motioning to Flick with her hands she kept walking trying to make as less noise as possible. Her hands shook as she held the crowbar hoping it wouldnt slip out of her hands. Finally standing under the attic she nodded to Flick and waited for him to come.

Flick joined Hayley. "Now, there's a door that seems like it hasn't been used in a while. I made it like that so people wouldn't go there," he said, looking down the hall. Sure enough, there was the old door that ed to his lab. He opened it and looked in. There were musty stairs that led farther down than the normal stairs because they went underground. Gripping the crowbar tightly, he looked back at Hayley. "It's down there," he said.

Hayley walked over to Flick and nodded. Looking at the entrance she took out her flashlight and turned it on flashing into the doorway. A low moan came from behind them as Hayley was about to talk to Flick. Looking over at the woman she saw her start moving more. "Let's go quickly." She whispered and walked inside. Waiting for Flick to come she looked down the stairs and felt like they were never going to end. Blinking she sighed and waited for him to follow.

Flick stepped inside. "Let's go," he said, and started going down the stairs. He looked down into the darkness and began feeling along the walls. He knew there was...there! A light switch. He flipped it on and dim light flickered, then blinked out. "Crap!" he whispered. "I knew those lights needed to be changed." He walked slowly down, then looked back up at Hayley. "You okay?' he asked.

Hayley closed the door behind them before walking down the stairs. Watching the lights go off she frowned and knew they were going to have to depend on her flash light now. Looking at Flick she smiled. "Of course, I work in dark places all the time." She laughed alittle referring to her job as a firefighter. Most of the times when she went to go help people in a fire the smoke made it hard to see and she had to depend on her flashlight and other senses other then her eyes to get around. As she walked farther down with the scientist the truth was she was terrified. She didnt know what was going to end up at the end of the staircase. if more of the infected people were right at the bottom of the steps then anything could happen.

Flick took a deep breath. His lab wasn't far now. The cure wasn't far away. Strange, the stairs seemed disturbed somehow. He sighed and smiled at Hayley. "That seems like a tough job. I work under hot, bright lights all day," he laughed. He was giddy. The cure was very close, and about to be created, and he could set things right. There was no reason to be sad anymore. But what about when they all find out I made the disease? he thought. Well, I made the cure.

Hayley laughed and kept walking. "Being a scientists must be hard. I mean you have to get up in the morning, then sit on your butt the whole day mixing stuff in containers. What a JOB" She spoke sarcastically and laughed trying to lighten the mood for herself. Rubbing her hand across Flick's hair making it stand up she laughed and couldnt help but smile at the thought of getting out of this place and going back to having fun like they were having right now. When everything was fixed and they found a way out the building maybe they could all still be friends when they got out.
