Hayley turned off the flashlight once she got down the stairs with Flick and looked through the crack of the door. "Get ready...." She whispered and slowly started opening the door. What if some of the infected people had made it to Flick's lab? Would they be able to get past them all? If there were alot that is.Staying close to Flick she held on his arm with one of her hands for fear of the worse and clentched the Crowbar in the other. Waiting for Flick to make a move Hayley looked at the door as it slowly opened with a tap of her foot.

Flick looked inside the door, and what he saw made him stop cold. "What the heck are you doing in my lab?" he growled to Alexia and Easton, who sat on his couch. He opened the door so Hayley could see. "If you hadn't noticed, this place is off limits!" There was a tint of amusement in his voice, and he then burst out laughing. He walked over to them. "So, how did you get here?" he asked, waving his hand fro Hayley to come in.

Hayley sighed in relief seeing Easton and Alexia sitting on Flick's couch. Walking over to them she looked at the ground and then back at them. "Um....before you guys say anything I just wanted to say, Im sorry.....for thinking you were both infected.....Ive been thinking about it for awhile and I feel really bad." She frowned and stepped back hoping they would accept her apolofy.

Flick smiled, then headed to a far corner of his lab to a vault. It used to be heavily protected, but now it was broken into. It was the vault that held the disease. He growled low in his throat. He looked around. Chemicals were splashed everywhere, some of the deadly. He turned back to the vault and looked inside. The box that had held the disease was gone. He looked at the others. "I need the disease to make the cure, and the disease is gone. We have to find it. It's somewhere in the building."

Hayley looked at Flick and frowned. "Ok. But in this building it could be anywhere. I counted how many floors there are and theres about six, including this one. How should we go about this sir?" She joked at the end but was serious about the rest. If they all searched one room at a time together it would take forever, then she thought. "Actually, if you look at it in a firefighters eyes. We can split up, but it would be dangerous alone...." Sighing she shook her head and looked at the others for ideas.

Alexia turned to Flick and Hayley. "You mean this?" she asked, pulling it out."I found it in the hallway and thought it might get smashed. So I kind of kept it with me." she explained. "Also, there's a way to this place through the manager's door." she added. "I kinda stumbled into it." she paused for a moment. "It's okay Hayley. I might have done the same thing." she told her.

Flick smiled and took the box. He looked at it closely and saw that it wasn't really a cardboard box, but more to look like one. It was made of metal with a strong, solid lock that was hidden. "This is definitely it," he said. "Thanks Alexia." He set the box on a counter and opened it with a special series of keys, number, and complex math. It was soon open, and there were the little tubes filled with blood red liquid that was the disease. One tube was missing. He smirked. "This is where the fun begins," he said, turning on a computer. He cleared a space and gathered some chemicals from around the room.

Alexia listened to the beep of the computer, and it wqas soft, but she covered her ears for fear the alarm would start going off. "Erm...please don't let the alarm g off a third time.." she stammered. If it did, she was sure she would lose her hearing. "And don't look out the lab door either...a pod attacked a dog and ate it..." she fearfully added, afraid of their reaction.

Easton got out of the chair he was sitting in and walked past Alexia "Imma gonna check my sugar. I'll be back in a second." he said as he brushed past. Walking over to where his bag is he hoped onto the counter and opened his pack. Taking out a swab he cleaned his finger and loaded his meter cutting it on. Waiting for it to cut on he pricked his finger and got the blood to come out onto the strip at the end.
