Cali smiled and rolled over with a sleepy look on her face. "Awh, you know you love, Dempsey." she said smiling at him broadly. "Don't try to fight it it's evident." The blonde wolf loved messing with the older male. She wished she could have ran her fulls speed but it wasn't worthe it. Cali couldn't take it if even one more wolf she knows dies and Dempsey was all she really had left and she wasn't about to loose him just yet.

Dempsey rolled his eyes and poked Cali's side with his paws. "Oh yea. I love you Cali. I love you like a cat loves water." He smiled and wagged his tail alittle then stretched his neck before laying his head on his paws.

"Pshh I knew it." she told him smiling. "I mean there had to be a reason you kept hanging around me. It's okay I have a confession." Cali tried to look like this was something she had been wanting to say for a long time. "I-I love you too. There I said it." The blonde wolf smiled and winked at him. "What a trip that would be. I'd eat my tail before I confessed my love to somebody." she said laughing.

Dempsey laughed and rolled his eyes. "I don't hang out with you. YOU hang out with me." He grinned and rolled on his back. Another roar came from outside in the forest and he twitched. Hopefully the monster things didn't come to the camp or even found them. The wolf rolled back on his stomach and flicked his tail back and forth.

"Yeah yeah whatever." she rolled her eyes smiling. When the loud noise reached their ear she jumped infront of Dempsey. "Don't worry I'll protect you from the noises." she said and like she was all excited for battle. "Just stay behind me and you'll be fine." she looked over her shoulder and smiled at him winking. "I mean I already pinned you down once today, I think I can handle the noises."

Dempsey saw her jump and lifted an eyebrow. "Hm I think you might run before you protect me." He laughed and walked up to her narrowing his eyes. "You didnt pin me down. I let you knock me down." He flicked an ear playfully and tilted his head to the side.

"Is that so?" she said and lunged for him pinning him down again. "You should really be on guard more often. I mean how can you protect yourself from the noise if you can't even fend off me?" Cali's blue eyes looked down into his and she smiled.

Dempsey laughed and wagged his tail. "Oh trust me I can fend you off I just wasn't ready." He smiled and lifted himself off the ground by pushing his head into her chest and pushing her back. He got back on his four paws and pushed her gently to the corber of the den, blocking her so she couldn't escape. "Now. How are you going to protect me if you let yourself get pushed around?" He tilted his head and smiled.

Cali smiled and then popped her shoulder for two reasons. One because it was catching, and two because she knew he would flinch. When he flinched she knocked him over and had her back to the open space of the cave. "I always knew you were a push over." she said smiling a toothy grin at her own silly puns. "I really slay myself sometimes. I'm a comedic genius." she told him matter of factly.
