Dempsey lifted his ears when he heard Cali and smiled alittle. Looking at his tongue he shook his head and put it in his mouth feeling alittle hot now. Getting up the brown and gray wolf walked over to Cali who was now eating, and sat down infront of her. Looking down at her he thought about earlier when she asked if he wanted her to be serious when she was talking about how she loved him. Blinking the thought away he pretended to yawn and looked at her. "Hmm that throwing up made you hungry huh?"

"Of course. What doesn't? I mean having to look at you all day makes me hungry. Believe it or not it's not as easy as it looks." she told him shrugging. Cali smiled and said "Just kidding. You know a gorgeous ninja." she laughed and then went back to eating. When she was finished she stretched but not enough to where her shoulder popped. "What were you thinking about?" she asked him sitting down.

Dempsey laughed and waited until Cali was eating and asked him a question. "Uh nothing. Why I wasn't thinking about anything." he barked and shook his head seeing as that sounded like he was dumb. "I mean I wasn't thinking of anything important." he fixed himself and nodded. "So what should we do now?" he tried to change the subject and looked out to the forest hearing the roar again.

"Let's play 'Tell Cali what you were thinking'. I like that one and if it wasn't important then you wouldn't have been thinking about it and trying to cover your tracks." she told him simply. Whe she was done she sat infront of him and waited for him to speak "It's not like I will make fun of you for it."

Dempsey shook his head not wanting to tell her. "It was nothing, and I'm not trying to cover my tracks." he looked away from Cali and stared over at some wolves from the pack talking. He was afraid if he said anything then he really would start to like Cali and that would mess up their friendship.

"Dempsey, you're my bestfriend. Nothing will ever change that. I promise." she told him feeling slightly hurt he wouldn't let her in on his thoughts. "I wish you would trust me enough to tell me what you're thinking. Nothing is bad enough to warp my opinion of you. I swear." Cali wasn't just being nosy she really wanted to know incase there was something wrong she could help with.

Dempsey looked back at Cali and sighed. "I do trust you its just...well nothing. Nothings wrong." He shook his head again. "Dont worry its nothing bad Ive just been thinking about myself thats all." The male wolf stood up and turned to the den. "Can we go rest or hang out somewhere without questions. " he gave a small laugh trying to show her he was ok but he didnt look at her eyes like usual instead he kept dodging them.

"Not if you want to be all sad. You can't even look me in the eyes. What you're doing now is worse than whatever it is you aren't saying I can assure you." Cali said crestfallen. She knew he wasn't telling her something and she couldn't for the life of her figure out what it was. Her shoulders were slouching and her eyes were sad as she looked at Dempsey. "I though we were best friends. Together till the end." she whispered sadly.

Dempsey looked to the ground and nodded. "Bestfriends..." he repeated softly and looked up trying his best to smile. "Listen Cali. Im fine. Your worrying yourself too much. If something was really wrong with me I would tell you but it's nothing." he winked trying to cheer her up now. "Dont worry." he repeated and flicked her on the nose with his tail. "Come on. Let's go hang out somewhere else."
