"You sound like you're trying to convince yourself more than convince me. I'm not stupid I know something's wrong. If you don't trust me enough to tell me cool, whatever. Just know I'm here when you decided to tell me." she said. Cali got to her paws and stretched careful not to pop her shoulder even though she really wanted to. She stretched slowly so she could feel when her shoulder was about to pop and stop. Shaking her fur she walked towards him "Where to?" she asked looking at him. The hurt of being excluded was clear on her face.

Dempsey saw the look in her eyes and tried not to look away. "The den again. I guess." he shrugged and took a few steps forward. It was weird, whenever she came close to him now he felt hot and his stomach felt funny. 'I just have to stop thinking about it. The more I think the more awkward it would be' he told himself and looked back at Cali. "You coming droopy face?" he copied her frown and laughed alittle.

Cali fought back the rude remark that was on the edge of her tongue when he said that and just smiled. "Yeah. Coming." she said and caught up with him. The blonde wolf walked next to Dempsey and looked everywhere but at the wolf beside her. She was livid and hurt that he wouldn't tell her and didn't want to look at him at that particular moment.

Dempsey looked at Cali and gave a quiet sigh. She didnt really seem to dig him about now so he wasnt going to say anything. Walking alittle quicker so he didnt touch her pelt but not seeming like he didnt want to be next to her he stood at the den entrance and waited for her.

When she entered her pale side brushed against his dark flank gently. Cali walked to the back and popped her shoulder not caring if it freaked Dempsey out at the moment. Sighing she melted to the floor and layed down rolling over on her back. Looking up at the dark ceiling she longed to be outside looking at the stars. Something her mom said suddenly came back to her and it kept replaying in her head over and over again but she didn't push it away like normal.

Dempsey stayed still for a moment as Cali walked by him. Feeling her pelt brush past his he focused on the ground and began walking to where Cali was laying. He hadnt payed any attention to the popping of her shoulder because he was still thinking but he lied next to Cali, giving them enough space.

"First you can't look me in the eyes and now you're acting like I have fleas, and you won't even get close enough to touch me. There's a whole continent bewteen us." she said. "Why the sudden change? Ever since the slobber thing you've acted like I gave you a flesh eating virus or something. Maybe I'm going crazy but something is for sure going on." Cali looked over at him.

Dempsey looked at her and shrugged. "I just didn't know if you would want me all over you." he stood up seeing she was going to say something if he didnt get closer. He lied next to her and felt alittle of his pelt touching hers. "Better?" he asked her and smiled before putting his head on his paws. He felt like if they got any closer he would start sweating.

Cali narrowed her eyes at him and then got up. She layed down and put her her head on his back and yawned like she was going to sleep but she wanted to know what he would do. The female snuggled against Dempsey and sighed softly waiting for him to do something. 'What are you keeping from me?' she thought to herself.

Dempsey tensed for a moment but quickly relaxed himself to keep Cali from asking questions. His heart started racing and he tried to stay calm. "Do you have to sleep on me?" he laughed pretending it was a joke then stared at the den wall. Maybe all he needed was to rest for abit and not think about everything else.
