Dempsey nodded and looked at Cali tilting his head. "W-whatcha mean?" he asked and tried to calm his stuttering by sitting down and relaxing. Putting his muzzle to his chest he began licking his fur down and sneezed as some of it went into his nose. Then kept grooming himself keeping an ear to Cali so he could hear her.

"I had a dream I was in a field looking up at the stars. It was beautiful beyond belief but when I turned my head I saw a wolf with me and it wasn't you, which was who I expected, it was Roan. I wanted to wake up and get away from him but I could tear away fromt he stars." she told him simply and then helped him get his fur to lay back down.

Dempsey tensed for a moment when she said Roan but he ignored the feeling in his chest aqnd laughed. "Well then it's a good thing I woke you up. Don't know if he was going to bite your ear off or not." Dempsey smiled and stopped licking his fur when it was smooth again. "Um..." He couldnt think of anything else to say so he just shrugged.

Cali got Dempsey's fur off of her tongue and then sat down. Stretching she yawned and smiled at him unsure of what to say. "So are you still all creepy like earlier? Or are you over it now?" she asked looking at him and grooming her fur again where it had stuck to her body from sleeping.

Dempsey rolled his eyes and made it look like he was ok now. "yea. Im fine. I told you it was nothing. I just needed some rest." He stretched and gave a small laughed before walking to the den entrance. "I wonder whats happening to the patrol..." He looked out at the camp and noticed they weren't back. he hoped nothing happened to them. Although Dempsey didnt like Roan he didnt want any wolf to get killed by those humans.

Cali didn't believe him at all. "Like I said, when you want to stop lying to me and yourself I'll be here to listen." she told him. "Why don't we go find them?" she asked getting up and heading towards the entrance. "I'm tired of just sitting around let's just get outta here and go find them."

Dempsey looked at the ground at her first sentence but didnt say anything about it. Nodding he walked out of the den and looked ot her. "Let's go. Hopefully we get to see Roan cowering under some human, whimpering. That'll make my day." He laughed and ran to the camp entrance looking back when he got there for Cali.

Cali made it to the entrance and brushed past him like she had before. Looking around it was nearing sundown and she wanted to make it to the clearing in time to see the sunset. "COme on pokey." she said refering to how he hadn't moved yet. Unable to contain her energy she darted off into the forest.

Dempsey looked to the ground quickly when she brushed by him and tried not to let it bother him. Looking up he saw Cali dart off. Smiling he raced after her, having to pump his legs faster since her legs were longer, though it always like that when he hunted too. He caught up with the wolf and kept in pace with her while sniffing the air for any of the patrol.

Starcross followed Guntur towards the camp and sighed. The humans were too much. They were big [huge, to be exa. t] and they were many. The pack wouldn't stand a chance. 'Bright thoughts, Starcross,' she thought. 'Happy thoughts. No bad ones.'
