Petal sat back and watched him try to apologize to Pearl.

"I don't want her in the sky. That's not where she is apposta be. She's apposta be here with me and Petal. William is apposta be here too. Is he in the sky with mommy? Did mommy go to find William and that's why she's not here anymore? Cause I think that would be okay if she was going to find William." Pearl said looking up at him. Pearl was the same age as Petal but she didn't process things like Petal or the other dogs did she still thought like a pup.

Apollo sighed. He had never tried to explain death to a pup in such a way where they won't burst into tears and hate him forever. "Well, I know that she's with William, and they're both together, guiding you," he explained, trying to use a soft voice. This was harder than he expected it to be.

Haku noticed Raz approaching them and playfully nipped Sora's ears.Sora was a little shocked but then noticed Raz coming over.She came over happily and started to talk to Raz."Let's fight outside in the alley-ways."She said kindly.She didn't want to hurt anyone that is in the building at all.Haku looked at Raz waiting for him to answer to Sora.

Raz crouched into a play bow and smiled. "Okay," he barked. "I'll race ya!" He turned and started running for the door before Sora could even answer. He wondered who that dog was with her, but he didn't really care. His paws pounded the ground and his tngue lolled out of his mouth.

Petal looked at him smiling at how well he was doing so far. It wasn't easy explaining things in a way Pearl would understand and so far he was doing great.

"So if mommy found William then how come they aren't home yet? Are they lost? Do we need to go find them? Cause I wouldn't mind going to find them. It would be an advenchure and we could learn lotsa cool things on the way. If we meet them halfway, they wouldn't have company on their way home." Pearl said her eyes wide as she looked at Apollo.

Apollo smiled, looking down at Pearl. "No, you don't have to find her. She's already found you, and she's in your memory and in your heart, but you just won't see her physically. But she's always at your side," he said. He leaned down and licked Pearl's ear.

"So she can see me but I can't see her or William?" she asked slightly confused and then Petal walked over to help out Apollo. "It's like an angel. She can see you and help you when you need it but you can't see her or touch her. Since she's an angel she can't get hurt or sad and she'll get to be with you all the time. Even when you get big and start to turn old, you'll still have her." she told the white dog.
"I'll never get old. I'm gonna be little forever!" Pearl exclaimed and bounced slightly and Petal laughed.

Apollo laughed a little at this too. "She's right," he said. He laid down next to the little dog. "Everything will be okay," he promised. He sighed and looked around. Luna and a few other dogs were awake. He wondered what the pack would do today. He saw a few dogs racing out the door and wondered what they were doing.

Luna looked hopefully out of thw window, unsure what she expected to see but disapinted by the view for some reason. She noticed Apollo and padded over, a puzzling look on her face. "Do you know how we got here? What happned before?" She asked caitously.

Apollo looked at Luna, who had walked up to him. "I'm not sure," he said. I don't even know what happened to us before we found ourselves here," he said. He sighed and looked at his paws.
