Apollo shook his head. "We want you three safe," he said. He swiped his tongue over River's ear. "If you need anything, you let us know, okay?" he barked. It smelled like the room had food in it. His mouth started to water, but he shook the thought away. He had much more important matters to deal with.

River gave a sulky huff, storming off after Nightshadow and Lucy. She glared at Apollo, turning round so he could only see her bum.

Apollo started back down the hall. Stupid pups. Didn't they realize they were too young for stuff like this? When they were older they'd be able to help. He sighed. This wasn't going to be a good thing, if anything it would just make him look bad. 'Oh, I'm so mean, I didn't let the pups risk their lives and maybe even get themselves killed, I'm such a bad dog' he thought to himself mockingly.

River growled. "Stupid male! Didn't I prove myself? I've shown I can defend myself after what hapenned..." After the fight River had grwn a confidence boost, or maybe it was the fact her and Nightshadow were back together again. She grinned at Nightshadow. 'We'll go out later! He can't keep us locked in here forever!' River thought.

Apollo joined the other dogs and sat down. His paws dug around in the carpet. "Well, I think I've decided which dogs will go out on the patrol around town," he said. He looked up at the group. "I've chosen Dakota to lead it, Richter, Carvern, Arina, and Luna," he said. "If there's any reason you can't go, please come talk to me," he barked. "I'll be staying back here with my defensive forces in case this strange dog comes here before the patrol finds him."

Luna nodded nervously. "I'm fine with it." Luna barked. She shifted nervously, yet her eyes shone with excitement. She couldn't wait!

Dakota nodded to Apollo and stood up. "Sounds good to me. Should we head off now?" Her paws were itching to get moving and find this dog. She had to know if the dog they were looking for was good or not. Starting to pace she looked at Apollo and waited for him to answer.

Apollo nodded to Dakota. He turned and started off toward the rest of the dogs that weren't going. He had to set up his defenses. He stopped in front of Jersey. "Can you guard the door while I set up the pack's defense unit?" he barked.

Richter's paws tingled with excitement. He couldn't wait to get out there and find that dog, but what the dogs were talking about earlier disturbed him, about only the dogs in the building had lost their memories. He hadn't said anything, but he remembered everything.

Dakota nodded back to Apollo and wagged her tail. "Alright. Let's go then!" She barked and dashed toward the building entrance wanting to stretch her legs even more now.

Jersey looked up from where she was sitting and noticed Apollo was talking to her. "Me? Um sure." She stood up and shook her fur. Stretching her back legs for a moment she jogged by Apollo and headed after the patrol waiting for them to leave so she could start guarding.
