To add on to what Florest said -- even if you don't write a fantastic story by the end of the month (something even I'm not capable of,) you can always go back later and just rewrite it. Is ee NNWM as more of a way for people to get their ideas out on the table, laying out a structure for them to build upon; that's what I'm doing with it. ^_^

Floresta: Sounds interesting. Personally, I try not to deal with time travel if I can avoid it -- the concept seems a bit too... I don't know; I guess risky is a good word.


As for my story idea -- it's essentially a fantasy story set either in the modern world or in a world similar to that of Kingdom Hearts, I haven't decided yet. But it's about a 14-16ish year old with a hostile relationship with his cousin (if you've watched Ben 10, that should give you a good idea of what it's like) living a relatively normal life. Then through a series of events, his cousin loses her memories and goes catatonic, they both get dragged into a different realm that is still part of their own world (so, pretty much, it lets them see all of the KH-style magicalish stuff that goes on and no one realizes, without wisking them off to a completely different universe,) and he has to help heal her and uproot the organization responsible for their predicament. The emotional stress caused by the deaths of pretty much everyone else in both of thei immediate families doesn't help either.

I'm hoping by the end of it things evolve past a solely "action-adventure" theme to more of a "family" theme -- it was, after all, a light-hearted, innocent dream that I had that inspired this, and I literally felt jittery and fuzzy on the inside for like, five days afterward just thinking about it, so I'm going to try and capture that feeling again. ^_^

Here's a tip, Nova: Start writing the first thing that comes to mind and continue to build off of it. that's how many of my short stories started. I've got a couple that i haven't posted yet. The whole point of this is just to write. So whta if it sounds terrible, just keep going.

Haha. I'm going kinda slow and I don't really wanna stick to the person because she made her personality really annoying and gets mad when I change it slightly. She's like the fml emo types and that's not how my characters are if you've roleplayed with me before. It's rather difficult. lol.

I'm not eve botheirng with chapters right now, just writing how the story's going to look. Later, I'll go abck over it and fix it all up. There's a million typos in my story right now. I'm going to have fun editing this one.
Right now I'm about 500 words short of 10000 words. ALmost 1/5 of the way there.

Edit: 10000 words! W00T!!!
