Darkstar turned to his favored warrior and hissed, "You could have done it faster and with no casualties." He snorted darkly before going to return to his den. "Get some rest. There will be another task in the morning. All those who don't return by the time I assign the next task will be seen as traitors and treated as such." With that he disappeared in to the den.

Nightfang gently nudged Bearfur toward the apprentice, "Come on tough guy. You're gonna need some more rest if you intend on proving to him that you aren't to be messed with." Each cat in the camp moved by the former rogue's body, bowing their heads in respect despite what Darkstar had said. Even Sharpfang took a moment of pause to wish the tom peace in his eternal sleep. Nightfang looked at the gray flecked pelt, a cold feeling seeped in to her gut as she realized that this could have happened to her, or worse, to Bearfur.
On her way to the apprentice den, she stopped by her cousin and nudged him along with her, "Stick with me Sablepaw. You can sleep next to my bed."

OOC: Dear Ebbs, I applaud you on a tragically beautiful death scene, I was a little choked up. :')

Gingerpaw padded into the clearing with the other apprentice's behind her. She had just entered as Darkstar's tail disappeared into his den. She padded forward until she was a couple of tail-lengths away from it. She sat the young kit down, and it cowered lower to the ground. It was the eldest kit of the litter, he looked strong, but he sure didn't act it. She guessed that must have had something to do with the fact that he was just stolen from his family. "Darkstar!" Gingerpaw called out, her voice calm and steady. "I've brought you your kit." Her tail wrapped around her front paws as she waited for the cold, and malicious leader to exit his den.

The deputy Sharpfang padded toward Gingerpaw, his face pulled in to a sad frown at the sight of the young scrap of life. "Well done Gingerpaw," he mewed a little subdued. "Darkstar is a little... preoccupied at the moment. Why don't you and your group head to bed. I'll bring the kit to one of the queens. You can show him your success in the morning." Despite Sharpfang's initial lusts for Petaldancer, he wasn't exactly the worse cat in Tigerclan. He felt the pain of loss just as anyone. Now was not the time to act superior to the rest of his clan mates. He just wanted this day to be over with. He picked the small scrap of life up and headed toward the nursery, leaving Gingerpaw, Icepaw and their group to go to sleep.

OOC: Thanks Goldie ^^ I really did enjoy the brief play through of Normandy, I'm just so cruel to my own characters :(

OOC: Haha, aren't we all? Sadly, tragic is much more fun to play than happy. It's the same way in the acting world, it's always far more interesting. There are a lot of instances when it's the other way around, but yea. :)

Gingerpaw dipped her head towards Sharpfang, and turned and padded towards the apprentice den. Ignoring the other apprentice's, and squeezing past Nightfang and an apprentice she didn't recognize. She made her way to the back of the den and curled up, closing her eyes. The images of the days events flashed through her mind. But she still felt nothing. Maybe this was a good sign. Maybe her heart was finally catching up with what was logical, and that was to not be such a kit. Somewhere deep in her mind she knew she felt utterly awful. Because for some reason stealing that kit, to her, was like murdering something. Especially delivering it to Tigerclan. But neither her mind, nor her heart, reacted to it anymore. She shook her head and closed her eyes again. This time, only darkness lay behind them.

ooc;
since moonie and woodfall haven't replied, is it okay if i pretend that kestreleye's group completed the task? gonna check with you first.

ic;
Bowing his head as he passed by Normandy, Bearfur frowned. You would have had a home at LionClan. Maybe in another life, Normandy. Rest in peace. And if there is a StarClan... may they accept you openly and as kindly as you treated others. Following after Nightfang, he dimly recognized Sablepaw. Smiling softly, the mourning still on his mind, Bearfur bowed his head in greeting as he laid down at the edge of the gathering of apprentices. Looking up at Nightfang, he smiled and mouthed, "Thanks. You're the best," before laying his head upon his paws in thought, mulling over Darkstar's words. He was going to have to be cruel again. He was going to have to abandon his friends and decidedly overtake Darkstar, much to his disliking. "I'm sorry, Nightfang," he murmured before closing his eyes. "I never wanted to hurt anyone."

Cliffheart padded into the apprentice den, taking one last glance at the limp form of Normandy. Cliffheart had never talked to the cat, but he felt something different about the former rogue. Perhaps he would have done well in LionClan. Lifting his muzzle to the sky, he said a few words or prayer to StarClan, which he had begun to look to for support. With that, the tom padded into the apprentice den to see Nightfang and Sablepaw. He gave the tabby warrior an apologetic look, then turned to Sablepaw. Looking around to make sure nobody was listening, he whispered to the apprentice. "Don't listen to Darkstar. You're LionClan through and through, and we'll take you with us when we return," he said, nudging Sablepaw softly.

Icepaw laid in the apprentice's den, his bright blue eyes never shifting off of Gingerpaw. WHat she had felt, and her mannerism and reaction to the mission, Icepaw felt nearly devistated. She was always bright and happy. Why wasn't she now? Couldn't she move on from this? The thoughs swirled around in Icepaw's head, twisting and bending his mind until he felt sick from thinking too much about the kit and when it grows up. "What have we done?" Icepaw whispered silently to himself. Nothing was right anymore, everything was twisted. No, it was always this way, Icepaw had just refused to believe it until now. The ultimate threat of Darkstar was real, and it was here.
Darkwhisker watched as everyone began to return. Her stomach shurned from imagining what had happened at each mission. She knew this was dangerous, that someone wouldn't be coming back, but to join the army of TigerClan was the last thing on her mind. Dakwhisker shook her head and laid her head down on her paws.

OOC: That's fine Resta :D IN fact I'll just make it the next morning and he can magically poof back in to camp :3

IC:

Nightfang awoke the next morning to see Sablepaw snuggled in to her fur. A grin spread on her face and she licked him between the ears, "Good morning, little one. Its time to wake up." The young black furred tom awoke, his amber eyes blinking away the sleep.
Softly he murmured, "Ravenpaw?"
Nightfang frowned and shook her head, "I'm sorry Sablepaw. Unfortunately it wasn't a bad dream, you're in Tigerclan." Across the den a hiss sounded and Nightfang turned toward it. It was Tigerpaw, the young cat that just loved stirring up trouble.
"If you keep coddling him, he won't be of any use," Tigerpaw sneered, "Darkstar will just kill him instead."
Nightfang snarled at the younger cat, "And we can see how well you've turned out since your mother threw you away, because you such a little brat she couldn't stand you." Tigerpaw bristled at her but she turned back to her cousin. "Don't mind him. He'll get over it." She winked at the younger tom before standing moving out of the den. Sablepaw scurried after here, not wanting to be left alone with an angry Tigerpaw.
As the two stepped out in to the sunlight they saw Darkstar and Sharpfang with head's bowed together. Beside them sat one of the queens named Honeyheart. The she-cat was a pale ginger color with deep honey colored eyes, more than likely where she got her name. Just beside her was the small kit that was brought in to camp just last night. Nightfang had been unaware that stealing a kit was one of the tasks, she hadn't heard Gingerpaw yowl for Darkstar about it. What kind of cats were these? The little kit barely moved, tired from the journey here and being away from his mother. Hatred welled inside the she-cat for these horrible cats.

OOC: Does anyone mind if I RP Sablepaw? I know I already have two permanent characters while some of you only have one. It's a little more than unfair but I kinda like him ^^"

OOC: It's perfectly fine with me! :D

Gingerpaw's eyes fluttered open. Another day. With the last one behind her, she almost felt better. But at the same time she didn't. She really couldn't pinpoint her feelings. She padded outside, stopping next to Nightfang. She saw the she-cats eyes lingering on the small kit that Gingerpaw had brought in last night. Gingerpaw looked over at Darkstar and Sharpfang speaking in hushed voices. She sat down, not even bothering for any fresh-kill. Her eyes rested once again on the kit, and she just watched it, and waited.

OOC: She'll snap out of it soon. x3

Nightfang glanced down at the young she-cat. Gingerpaw looked troubled and the soft motherly side of Nightfang appeared. "Its alright, we'll take care of the young one. Nothing bad will happen to him." She smiled softly and turned to Sablepaw, "Just like were going to take care of him." Her young cousin looked around her to see who it was that she had been talking to. Shyly he ducked behind Nightfang again.

Sablepaw wasn't sure what was really going on here. He had only just been made an apprentice. Nothing seemed to be going right anymore. Things had been just fine when he was a kit and when his older cousin Nightfang was still apart of Lionclan. Now he was here in this strange place with blood thirsty cats that did not care for their dead. How could they let this, Darkstar, be their leader? He was nothing like the benevolent Hornetstar. What could possess them to think that this was the true way of the warrior code. Softly the young tom whispered, "I want to go home."
