OOC: Just to let you guys know, the servants are for the whole clan. They serve everyone not just the sentinels ;D So we won't be paired up with specific characters ^^

Nightfang nodded softly to herself before turned forward again. "You know, I won't be able to stay by your side through all this," she meowed with sadness in her voice. "Not if I continue to prove myself to be so weak," she said the last part with scorn. She knew the others would protect her but she didn't want to be a hindrance. She hated that she was to weak to protect anyone, even herself. Bearfur was special, more than likely he and Cliffheart would be the heroes in the end. They were brave and strong, knowing herself she would be killed in the final assault. She knew the assault was coming soon, when the moon turned blood red was the time Tigerclan would strike. Thunderstep had told them all the prophecy before coming here. Whenever that night was, they would attack Lionclan. She had a feeling that not everyone would come out alive.

Whitewhisker sent Cliffheart a scornful look back. He despised this tom, knowing that he was a sentinel killed him inwardly. "Oh I'm just loving it," he hissed, "Remember, guardians are the ones watching your back in battle. I'll take extra care to watch yours."

Cliffheart hissed at Whitewhisker. "I can take care of myself, mouse-brain. But you should remember this. I almost killed you once, I can do it again." Cliffheart flicked his tail and flexed his claws. This tom was a tough cat, he'd give him that, but Whitewhisker was also mentally weak, like most TigerClan cats. LionClan are taught to think for themselves, whereas TigerClan are taught to obey orders without question, therefore becoming stupid and dull. He and the rest of his patrol had the advantage, and Cliffheart intended to keep it that way.

Looking at Nightfang in surprise, Bearfur turned towards her. Frowning slightly, he replied, "Don't say that, Nightfang. We'll get through this. We were chosen for a reason." Kneading the ground with his paws, he sighed deeply, brow furrowing. In thought, his eyes closed and his nose scrunched up. Opening one, he looked at Nightfang with a sad yet amused expression. "Do you really think that you won't survive this, Nightfang? That's upsetting. You're one of the bravest cats i know. Don't give up now. Remember? We make a good team." A shallow smile placed itself on his lips, the edges of the smile still wanting to move down. He felt for Nightfang, and hated seeing her so uncertain. Usually she was always so determined and brilliant and there for him. But it was his turn.

Nightfang turned her eyes away from Bearfur, "We are a team." A ghost of a smile appeared on her face since she just couldn't shake the horrible anxiety of the future. "I..." she stopped herself. There were secrets, especially about the tom she loved, in her past. If things did happen badly, she wanted Bearfur to know them at least. Then she could live her life in peace. No one knew of Rainfall's ill behavior toward her and it was about time that she got it all out. She gently sighed and continued, "I want to tell you something... Not now, but later. It's important and I think you should know about it before the invasion happens." She glanced up at the tom, her eyes pleading for him not to brush her off.

Thunderstep sat where he had scolded Whitewhisker. He lifted a brow at Cliffheart when he had come over. Yet he didn't join the quarrel between the two toms. Indeed Cliffheart could kill Whitewhisker, but insistently threatening him wasn't going to help the situation much. Inwardly he knew the invasion would not be long off now. He had seen Jumpingfox twitch ceaselessly lately. Something was coming, perhaps the sigh of the red moon. Darkstar's army was ready, they would move out very soon.
He turned his eyes toward his father's den. Of course his new Sentinels would need preparation. They would need to work like a unit but that wouldn't be very hard. Petaldancer, Bearfur and Cliffheart were all from the same clan, that would make things easier. Shadestreak would be a good ally for Bearfur to use... That is until everything finally came out. The Sentinels would need a bit more time to be in top condition but other than that, things were ready. All they needed now was the sign.

OOC: After a few posts we will skip to the night of the lunar eclipse, the moon will be "red" on that night ;D

Giving Nightfang a genuine smile, Bearfur nodded. "Of course. When you need me, find me. Or call for me. Call out that you have fetched my prey and are to give it to me upon my orders." He was a bit worried about Nightfang's expression, but knew it would be explained later. Or rather, hoped it would. Brushing it aside, he shook his head clear of thought and returned the smile to his face. "And once a team, always a team, right?" He maintained eye contact with Nightfang, letting his words ring true before sighing and turning towards the camp. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes. "I'm hoping we'll make it out alive. But if we don't, just let me remind me how kind you've been to me when I never deserved it. And how much I care for you and how I'll always be here for you." Softly smiling, he nodded. "Thank you," was added to the end, sincerity loud in his words. "For everything."

Nightfang's mouth pulled up in to a smile as he padded away. So she would finally tell him, he did deserve to know. She couldn't help the small relieved sigh that pushed itself out of her when she turned to pad away. Tonight, she would tell him tonight under the light of the moon. With the darkness around her she would feel a little braver, almost like a cloak to cover her embarrassment. As another Tigerclan cat waved her over to do some sort of task, she thought of how best to tell him. It might just be best to tell it all at once, or perhaps just do it in chronological order. As she contemplated how to tell, Nightfang was run all across the camp along with the fellow servants in order to do their tasks. The sun climbed high in to the sky by the time she was allowed to eat her share.
As she picked up a plump mouse Sharpfang yowled at her, "What do you think you're doing?!" Nightfang whipped around and stared at him with wide eyes.
"W-what?" she mewed.
"That's the footman's fresh-kill pile," he snarled.
Nightfang sat up and looked at three separate piles that were lined up together. "Uh..." she started, "Then which one is the servant pile?"
Sharpfang let out a snort behind her, "You haven't made one yet. Do you think the patrols are going to hunt for lowly servants? You have to go catch your food. Be quick about it though, you only have a small amount of time to eat." He padded toward a shadow that a tree had made and sat near it. "You have until that shadow reaches where I'm sitting in order to catch your food and eat it."
Nightfang widened her eyes. The shadow would reach him in a short while, no more than fifteen minutes according to a two-leg. To catch a meal and bring it back to camp to eat would be nearly impossible. Hunting patrols took a long time and not everyone was successful in their catches.
Sharpfang tilted his head, "Well? Get going!" With that Nightfang bolted from camp to find something to eat.

Petaldancer's eyelids began to droop, slowly at first but the finally closed, leading her into the insane land of dreams. This "red moon" as it was called, terrified her down to the roots of the fur. What was to happen? The invasion was to begin soon, she could sense it.  Many of the others were beginning to grow restless and unsure. She felt it was time to retreat into the comfort of her thoughts once more. She found relative safety when shielded from seeing her oppressors, and the young she-cat hoped that perhaps it would make life liveble. As she had said before, the coming 'event' was one she'd feared for moons. Her eye's flicked open suddenly, a feeling of sadness drench inside her. Instead of tearing her apart inside, it just prickled her skin and tensed her muscles. She looked around the grounds and wondered when the moon would appear to make it's solitary treak across the sky. A sudden movement caught her eyes, Sharpfang yelling at Nightfang, again. She pulled herself to her feet, a growling sound attacking her stomach.  Withen a few bounds, she was looking at a small selection of food.

Wolfheart twitched her ear at Sharpfangs remark. She knew Nightfang was hungry and it wouldn't be likely that she could catch something and bring it back to camp to eat with this little amount of time. She grabbed a plump looking rabbit and called for her. "Nightfang, I need you!" she yelled after her. She dug waited hoping that she heard. She twitched her tail hoping she would see the lively warrior soon.

Nightfang had not heard Wolfheart since she had bolted from the camp. She was a good distance from there now and wouldn't have heard her fellow clan mate had she been listening for her. The dark tabby moved through the sparse surroundings of what had once been Riverclan territory. Despite having been here for nearly a half moon, she was still uncomfortable about not having trees around her. The sun was moving in the sky above her and she felt as if each second was being painfully ripped from her. Her eyes darted from hiding place to hiding place, begging for easy prey, yet there was nothing to be had. Having such a large clan made it difficult to feed them all. The prey close to camp had disappeared long ago. Growling to herself, Nightfang made her way to a river nearby. She sat on the edge hoping that a fish would be stupid enough to swim close.
The she-cat shifted from paw to paw, impatient with the fish in the water. She saw scales flicker by and she took her chance. As fast as lightning she nabbed a fish from the water and tossed it on to shore. She grinned at the good luck she was finally having. She bit the fish to kill it and noticed how small it really way. She frowned but at least it was food. She leaned down to eat her kill when the sounds of paw steps reached her ears. She quickly eat what she could when she saw Sharpfang appear before her.
"So there you are," he grinned darkly, "Times up, leave that pathetic catch there and come back to camp. Now."
Sighing, Nightfang heaved herself to her paws and followed after him back to camp.

Looking up, Bearfur watched Nightfang enter camp, trailing solemnly behind Sharpfang. Frowning, he quickly wiped it from his face in fear of the other Sentinels seeing his expression aimed towards the Servant. Though, then again, the large tom never was a fan of Sharpfang, having defeated him back when he was defending LionClan's territory. Not caring much for the tom, Bearfur plastered a lazy expression on his face and called out in a bored tone, "Shadestreak." He turned his head towards his, "friend" and watched as the called-upon tom turned towards him. Nodding in gesture for Bearfur to continue, he turned his attention back to the sky. "When do you think things will get...," he paused, searching for the proper word to use. "Interesting?" A curious tone invaded his voice, the tone being in use for both his wonderment of, 'Did I use the correct word?' and for the question itself.

Shadestreak chuckled. The sound was a curious one... It held both compassion, worry and indifference. "When the moon turns to blood."

"It seems so... far-fetched. Ridiculous, even."

"It does, doesn't it?"
