"Because these people can kill us. Ever think of that?" huffed Valerie, her voice showing hints of stress and annoyance at his incompetence. Rolling her eyes, she watched in silence as he strolled in like he owned everything. In a way she respected him for that and was even slightly in awe of how flawlessly obnoxious and crude he could be. For she, on the other hand, was sly and secretive and reasonable to a point. Restraining the urge to shove him into a wall - she was tall enough to so why shouldn't she? - she followed him to Dr. Jon's office. Her hands clenched to fists in her pockets.

GK smirked at the woman they passed. "Protocol my foot." She muttered. They walked into the building. As they reached a man at the desk, and the machine buzzed with Dr.Jonh's voice, they walked towards the office. GK shoved her hands in her pockets and let everyone get ahead of her. She began to think about what was happening. It didnt make sense. Not at all. They came to kill the rebels now they were teaming with them. She sniffed at the thought of going back to NAGA though. She had thrown her ear peice on the ground right after seeing Dex do it, and after seeing Ghost Town do it, she had stomped it. Now she never wanted to go back to NAGA as she thought of them and what they could do.
Daniel nearly grinned at the bickering Ghost Town and Dex. He couldn't help watch them, they were amusing. Daniel then looked behind him. People were walking back and forth, busy with their duties and work. He could never imagine the same routine every day of his entire life. Everyday was different for him. Let's see. He thought. How doI arrange my life? First, I grew in a pod instead of in a womb like a normal person. Second, I faught every day of my life, and each battle tested my abilities in entirely new ways. Third, I find myself in the company of a hard-case, a persuasive woman, a heavy-weapon crazy chick, and some kid who think's she's the best. Lastly, I find out that this is just all one big giant conspiracy just to cover up some mess that was tied to us anyway. Daniel's grin suddenly changed to a frown, his normal pessamistic furrow of the brows appeared once more like it always did. "This stinks." He murmured.
William entered the room, not exactly impressed by what he saw. Dr. Jonathan's office wasn't an office at all. It was a large circular conference room with a holo-interface in the center. The room slanted downward using steps toward the holo-interface, making it look like a Theatre-in-the-round. Seats circled the room as well, making it look very much like a war room just waiting for young pilots and soldiers to receive their missions. William strode toward the holo-interface. Standing around it was Dr. Jonathan and a group of people William had never met. One was a good-looking older man in an ancient style military wear(reminiscent of our current military dress), a plump short woman with pleasant feature wearing a nurse's garments, and a young twitch man who kept eyeing William and Shepard while sending longing looks at Dex. "So good of you to finally join us Commander Cassidy," Dr. Jonathan grinned. "It's Ghost Town," William growled back. Dr. Jonathan didn't look at all out of place, "Very well Commander and you can call me Henry." He turned back to the round holo-interface that rose from the ground. It was a solid piece of equipment meant to display large holograms to a large group. Currently being displayed there was what appeared to be a synthetic woman, her feature making her look rather pretty, though not exactly alive. "What do you think?" Henry asked. "About what?" William replied. "About Emili?" William lifted a brow at the man, "I don't know. She's okay... What does she have to do with anything?" Henry tilted his head to the side condescendingly, "This is going to be her new body of course." William turned his eyes to the hologram, Emili's proposed body had all the curves and contours that any normal woman was supposed to have. The face they intended was soft, and almost sad looking pale blue eyes. Long locks of wavy blonde hair fell from her head like a water fall. Smooth creamy skin covered her body, the parts that were visible anyway. She wore the usual Patriot Squad garb, the t-shirt, cargo pants, leather boots, jacket and vest. Indeed, the body they had chosen was very pretty. Not so much as Dex but by anyone's standards she was beautiful. William glanced sideways at Henry, "You're giving the AI a body?" "She can't be the plane forever can she? Sure the aircraft is beautiful, but she's like any woman. She's got to watch her figure," The man turned his eyes toward Dex, a wicked smile crossing his face, "Isn't that right?" William bristled at the man, "Watch it." He didn't realize how defensive he sounded at that moment. He knew very well that Dex could fight her own battle, perhaps his too. She didn't need his protection but he couldn't help the need to stop Henry's dishonorable glances toward Dex.
Daniel looked on at the hologram, a small smirk quirked at the edge of his lip. "I like the ship model, but this humanoid one beats the ship anyday." He slightly chuckled. Then paused. "But I don't think she can fly in the humanoid model, can she?" Daniel thought himself humorous when he was talking, but he didn't even find himself funny. A frown perched his lips once more, and he remained silent.
Placing a reassuring hand on Ghost Town's shoulders, Valerie took a slight step forwards, hands lazily by her sides. "Don't make me shove you into a wall, Ghost Town," Valerie chided as she examined the picture. A slight frown passed her lips as she looked at the woman on the holo-interface. Giving a human appearance to a robot? How sick, she thought in passing. After a moment's hesitation, she walked so she was right in front of the picture and looked at Emili's soon-to-be body. Turning towards Doctor Jon, she let a contemplative expression cross her face as her arms crossed her chest. "Henry, is it?" He gifted her with an appreciative smile which she did not return. Strolling back to Ghost Town's side, she turned around to face the group of three men and a woman before them. Placing a flashing smile their way, she said her next words with with careful consideration. "Let's get to the point, Henry. It's great to see that you're giving technology a new face -" she shudders and takes a slight step closer to Ghost Town upon glancing at the picture "- but why are we really here? What was that message for? This isn't making any sense." Taking her butterfly knife out of a pocket, she played with it as she contemplated her words and actions. The knife was sharp enough to cut through anything. She probably had enough speed to kill them all. But glancing around the room, she knew there was probably surveilance cameras all around, or they had concealed weapons. Snapping it closed and open repeatedly, she stared at it as she spoke. "All of you... you must all be very important." Looking up at them, she flashed a brilliant smile the twitching man's way, grabbing his attention, then smiling towards Henry. "Why. Why are we the exception?" Snapping the knife closed once more, she hummed in thought, sliding the knife into one of her pockets. Why were they the exception? Given more range? Sliding her hands into her pockets, she stood with a laid-back demeanor though her muscles were ready to move at the slightest threat. Why us?

Henry gave the woman one more sly smirk, "You're the exception because you are all different. Do you even realize what you are? Sure you're Bio-Agents, but you're the defective one." Henry's eyes darkened with hidden intent. William didn't understand, "Come again? How are we defective? We passed all their tests. We're the best dang team they've ever created!" Henry shook his head softly and tsked at them, "Ah but don't you see, you're not. Real Bio-Agents wouldn't have even questioned NAGA's orders. They wouldn't have taken hostages. They'd have just shot the place up. You five are special in your lack of conformity." William's eyes narrowed, still not following. Henry sighed and walked about the room, folding his hands behind his back, "A long time ago, long before any of your were thought up, a splinter cell agency formed within New America. They were tired of the totalitarianism that had corrupted America's once free country. Now its uniformity, obey the Supreme Commander and Chief. Never question the authorities even if what they ask you to do is wrong. The splinter cell wanted Old America back, when it was the United States." Henry turned to the group dramatically, "So they infiltrated NAGA, usurping them whenever they could. Heck, many of them got high up in the ranks. One such man, was your's truly." Henry continued to walk about the room as he continued, "The Bio-Agents they were creating were beginning to question orders. The neural inhibitors that didn't allow for free thought in 'Processed Americans' didn't work. The Agents could think for themselves, thus making them unstable and not viable. Each generation was killed within the first few years of life." Henry stopped and looked away, at this point he almost looked... sad. Finally he turned back to them, "Finally they found out just why their agents weren't working so well," Henry's voice hardened, "One of the splinter cell's men turned on them. He was weak." "All we had worked for fell around us," Henry's eyes clouded, "We couldn't continue our work so we fled. However, we left one last parting gift, a little piece of ourselves if you will." The man looked William up and down for a moment, "Seems to have worked if I do say so myself." William snarled darkly, "And just what worked?" "Our plan," Henry snickered, "Bio-Agents aren't just created out of no where, there had to be genetic material to start with. Your generation's genetic material was formulated from thousands and thousands of parents. They paired up men and women for the best possible outcome. Your parents were no different... However NAGA wasn't the ones to choose your parents. We did." William glances sideways at Dex, he had a bad feeling about this. Henry continued on with his explanation, "It wasn't until years later that NAGA even knew that you were made from the genetic material of people within the splinter cell. By then it was too late, you were all flourishing in your divisions. You were unlike any Bio-Agents they had ever seen. Truly you are the best, however, they also saw the deficiency in all of you. You second guess your superiors even though they tried to teach it out of you. That's why you're all here. You seek the truth, you want what it right and good. We can offer you that." William's fists clenched, this story of Henry's only made him more confused, "So you're saying were not even really Bio-Agents?" Henry shook his head, "In a way you are. You were all given gene altering sessions that allow for enhanced strength, reaction, hearing, smell and various other things. However, you weren't crafted the way the others were. You are all human." The blood drained from William's face, this day just kept getting better and better. Not only was he not who he thought he was, but he wasn't even what he thought he was. For a moment William swayed, his knees threatening to give out. He shook he head and looked away, "Why did you do this to us?" Henry titled his head to the side, "You are the only ones that can save everyone. You must join us and stop NAGA!" William's breathing shallowed, "You said our parents are people from here, do you know who they are?" Henry laughed harshly, "Of course I do." William growled, "Well then who are they?!" Henry smiled widely at William, "Well, for one thing. I'm your father." William swayed forward, his hands darting out to catch himself against the holo-interface, "And my mother?" Henry didn't reply and William didn't have the strength to look up at him, "Who is she?" Finally the man replied, "Her name was Gloria Fairchild." Despite the news, William was as sharp as ever, "Was?" Henry's voice sadened, "She's dead."
OOC: If you guys want to give the names of your parents in your next post go ahead ;D Its only fair since I've been hogging the Limelight XD
Placing a hand on Ghost Town's shoulder in a comforting manner, Valerie looked at them with a calculating stare before she swallowed slowly. All of this was too much for her to take in, but she swallowed her confusion and took the problem head on, knowing that all along she knew she wasn't one of them. Despite her apathetic tendancies, there were always feelings of regret and fear and hatred and all of those ugly feeling burrowing themselves deeper within her mind. Valerie hated to admit it, but she was perfectly fine being human and having the sense to understand that she should be careful and realized that was why so many of her former comrades had died. She stayed with her hand on Ghost Town's shoulder as she took a slight step forwards. The plump woman smiled towards Valerie as she noticed her take a timid step forwards. When the woman spoke she had a light, airy voice. "Valerie, yes?" Valerie stiffly nodded, signalling that it was her. "You look so much like your parents. Your father was tall, just like you. And your mother was almost as beautiful. Your father was quarter Asian. You inherited his eyes." With another smile, she nodded slightly. "Your father was named Yuuichi and your mother's name was Melissa." Nodding slightly, Valerie picked up the hint that her parents were dead and had been for a while. "Your parents were great people." With a small smile, Valerie let her hands drop to her sides. "I don't doubt it." Folding her hands in front of her, Valerie took in a deep breath and held it for a few seconds before letting it out slowly. The hardest part for her to take in was that she was human, not some engineered super organism. Turning towards Ghost Town, she took another deep breath and then turned forwards again. "Thank you, ma'am." With a small chuckle, the woman nodded. "So polite."
ooc; hope that was okay. D:

For a moment, William had the urge to reach out and press his hand on to Dex's, though he did not. The man didn't know what sort of feelings were rising in him. Perhaps it was betrayal, disbelief, confusion or a variety of other things. However he didn't have a name for all of those things mixed in to one. He continued to stare ahead at the holo-interface, not daring to look Henry in the eye. His scratchy voice managed to say, "Why? Why would you do this to us?" A short bark of a laugh escaped Henry's throat, "To stop them of course. You're our best bet, use their weapons against them. Use the one thing that NAGA had that we didn't. Use enhanced humans or Bio-Agents, whatever you prefer to call yourselves, against them. Its brilliant if I do say so myself." William's head snapped up. Rage swelled within the man's chest, "Is that all we are to you? Is that all we are to anyone? I expected this from NAGA, but from people who claim to believe in the old America... You're no better than they are!" Henry shrugged and turned away, "Sacrifices must be made for the greater good, how else do you expect change to come?" William shook his head fiercely, "Do you even hear what you're saying?! You just said that we are the children of people here! We are you're children!" William had never thought that he had had a father or a mother, not really. Now at the discovery that he was genetically altered after conception, that he really was just human and had parents, it was to much to bear. The people that claimed to care for the rights of humans barely even looked at the Patriot Squad as if they were human, let alone their own children. "Exactly," Henry sighed softly, not looking daunted, "We figured that having our own progeny with enhanced ability would make everything better. You'd all feel a connection to us through blood. Brilliant really." Henry looked back at the group, smug in his conclusion. William's jaw dropped, the breath left his lungs. He couldn't breath! How dare this man claim to be his father and say such things to him! At least NAGA was honest in their intent. They never hid behind things such as blood to claim alliance, they simply stated that if you weren't loyal, you were dead. The idea that blood would make him loyal to this pig of a man was insulting and humiliating. William stood up straight and looked to his shoulder where Dex's hand still was. He reached up and grasped his thankfully in his hand. He had never been a weak man until this point, not in all twenty eight years of his life. To many he would seem still a boy, however he had been through more than they could ever imagine. A small grateful smile touched the edge of his lips as his eyes met with hers. Turning back to Henry, William let go of Dex's hand. He didn't know what had brought on her sympathy, but to be honest he really did appreciate it. "I don't care what you claim Henry," William spat, "We are not loyal to you, nor are we loyal to NAGA. We are only loyal to ourselves. Leave us alone, we want nothing to do with you." Henry sighed and looked away, "I had figured you might resist at first so I came up with a little insurance." The man grinned wickedly and approached the holo-interface, "When you were created I put a failsafe in your design." William stiffened, "Failsafe? In our design?" He hated how Henry objectified them all. "Indeed," Henry snickered, "When each of your reached the age of five, I had the last remaining infiltrators attach a small organic anomaly in to each of you." William's eyes narrowed, what was he getting at? "Should any of you fail to submit loyalty to us, it would be hazardous to you," the side of the man's mouth twisted up again. He pressed a few buttons on the interface and an X-rayed three dimensional image of a man appeared. All the internal appeared and a small white dot glowed directly behind the heart. William felt his breathing shallow again. "What is this?" The Commander demanded. "Why its you of course," Henry chided. He turned to the image and pointed at the white sphere "See that there?" William's eyes had never left it. "That is the failsafe. Should you not show your loyalty, that little sphere will burst." Henry looked in to William's face, "I have the power to make it burst at any moment of my choosing. Should you not do as I suggest you will, lets say, expire." William's eyes widened in horror. Just what sick and twisted world had he been born in to?
Daniel could not hold back the anger and fear that boiled within him. "You're a monster!" He shouted louder than he expected. "You use human lives for personal gain! And for what?! Ends justify the means?!" Daniel then felt extremely hypocritical about what he was saying. He was shooting down the ideas of Henry, when in reality, Daniel had the same mentality of that sick and twisted man. He then felt sick about his own old intentions. "You sacrifice us, think of us as a way to get back at NAGA!" He pounded his fist on Henry's table, leaving a huge crack. "And we are forced to do what you say, or die. NAGA forced us to do what they wanted, or die. Either way, we die!" He growled. "Have we no option?! This is just inhumane." He then let his voice grow low and menacing. "What right do you have to play God? How dare you."
