During his pitiful jest, Valerie had groaned and leaned her head back. It quickly snapped back up when he offered his coat. Mouth opening in protest, she quickly gave up even trying to argue as his large coat was draped over her. Curling up under the large coat, a light blush tinged her cheeks as she muttered out a hesistant, "Thank you." Pausing for a second, she smirked and repeated in a soprano voice, "Oh thank you, daeling! How absolutely kind of you!" She inserted a flap of the hand here. "You didn't have to, you know! But it's lovely! Love you, darling. You'll get it back..." Pausing, she cleared her throat and resumed her normal voice. "Probably once I'm out of this room. They said I got hypothermia or something because I'm too skinny? Not sure." Rubbing her throat, she coughed a few times. Moving to rub the back of her neck, she flinched at how tight it was. Blush still tinging, her cheeks, she paused, an awkward silence surrounding them. "But really. Thank you. You should be resting too, though. I mean, you have no idea how worried I was when you suddenly sat up and... Ugh. I can't stomach that right now. Don't leave, yeah?" Her last sentence was purposely ambiguous and she merely curled up once again and hid her face.

William couldn't stifle a small laugh that escaped his throat at her little embarrassed joke to brush off the giving of his coat. He listened to her as she continued to speak and when she talked about how he had bolted upright on the table, he felt his chest pound as if he were right back there on the cold steel with his chest open. He hadn't seen his wound but he had felt it. He had heard the sound of his heart beat and he was scared of it. He never wanted that sort of thing to happen to him again.
Then another thought hit him, Dex had been in the same situation. He frowned at himself that he had not been in the observation room to make sure everything had gone right. Then again, she might not have wanted him there. Sighing he turned his attention back to the woman, her face pale... Well, except for the small blush that had creeped in to her cheeks. The man's brow lifted and without knowing it, a smile twisted the edge of his lip up. When she asked him if he was going to stay, he said nothing. Instead he looked around the room before spotting a rather comfortable looking chair in the corner of the room. He strode over to it and dragged it back so it was next to her bed. Slowly sitting down on it he finally realized how tired he really was... And sore. His chest hurt badly and his limbs no longer wanted to cooperate. He really did need to rest. Perhaps he would rest here beside Dex. That'd be nice.
He turned to look at her, though her face was covered and she was curled up. He smiled softly and murmured, "You're not to skinny. Perhaps for surgery you are but if you were any different. You wouldn't be able to do what you do. I find your abilities to be amazing. Heck, I can't sneak worth a dang." He laughed and looked at the ceiling, "Now we're free." He smiled softly again before closing his eyes and murmuring, "Just gonna shut my eyes for a while."

Emili lifted a brow at Shepard. She didn't quite understand his question still. She turned away from him, "I still don't understand Lieutenant. Humans are as much a mystery to me now as they were then. I just respect them a little more." She grinned slightly and turned back to him, "I don't understand Ghost Town, Dex, or you. Its confusing. I don't think that even with a life time of knowing you that I'd understand you."

Valerie smiled at him slightly, just listening quietly. When he smiled, she raised an eyebrow and thought, Amused at my embarrassment, are we? I'll get back at you later... But when he sat down beside her bed, she felt comforted. Reaching out with a cold hand, she grabbed his hand, just to make sure that he was really there. After his breathing evened out, she murmured, "That sounds about right. At least I've rested for a half an hour already." Curling up under the coat again, she shifted so she was comfortable and decided that a nap wouldn't hurt. "I still hate waking up..."

William's mouth twisted up at the corner and Dex's cold hand curled around his. He gave hers a reassuring squeeze. He wasn't exactly awake but he wasn't exactly asleep either. Instead he just let the peace and quite of this room surround him, and let Dex's hand comfort him as well. A yawn escaped his mouth before he let his muscles relax and felt himself grow content. This was nice. He wished the peace and the friendship this room had brought could last. However, knowing William he'd say something stupid and make Dex made. Still, for now it was simple and easy. He'd let that be.

Daniel felt a chuckle escape him. "I don't really think I will ever understand people either. Computers are in my genre." Then he turned his vision to Emili. "Well, except for you." He shrugged with a playful sigh. "You are one of those anomalies that I will never comprehend as long as I live, however long that maybe be." Daniel's smile faded as he saw out of the corner of his eyes, two doctors aproach. He looked over to them, then soot up. Daniel then tossed his head back and said with a slightly lofty tone, "Keep my seat warm, I'll be back in a jiff." And with that, Daniel left with the two doctors into the operation room. He had to change from his casual wear into one of those hospital dresses. It made Daniel feel very indiferent, and a bit uncomfortable, especially when he laid down on the ice cold steel table. One of the doctors placed the mask on his face and said, "Count backwards from ten." But by the time he was down to five, a fear had overwhelmed his mind as he was passing into the darkness. Daniel had a feeling of helplessness wash over him, as he was entrapted in the dark void-like status.

Eventually Daniel was awoken, by the lack of sound in the recovery room. Daniel sat up, he was in his normal clothing. He felt a bit relieved, but there was a throbbing in his chest. Daniel placed his han where the mild pain was, then realized what had happened. "Oh that's right..." He let his voice drift as he fell back on the bed with a plop, and left out a slight groan. At least he didn't have to be catious when it came to killing Henry anymore.

Sneaking a look at Ghost Town, Valerie opened her mouth open for a second, but closed it, instead biting her lip in thought. Finally, she spoke up. "Ghost Town? Do - do you think we'll get out of this alive?" Looking at their hands intertwined, she swallowed. She didn't know if he was asleep but she spoke anyways. Because maybe, he'd wake up and say he had a funny dream and they had talked and everything would be all right. "What... will you do after? You... you know I'm leaving." I can't stay here. I can't stay here. I can't stay beside you. I'm scared. Don't leave me. "But what about you? Will you stay? Get married?" Offering a small smile, she added quickly, "Marry someone pretty, yeah?" Giggling slightly, she sighed - in sadness or contentment was yet to be seen. Taking a deep breath, she decided to continue. "When I first got caught up in this mess, I dreamed about running away a lot. Getting away and never seeing any of you again. I can't anymore but... I feel like staying here would only hurt." Leaning over and patting his hand with her free one, she smiled. "We have a lot to accomplish until then. So, never mind. If you don't know, you don't have to tell me." Lie to me and tell me it's all right. Because I know - I know it's not and never will be. That this won't work out. Just lie.

William was still in that state of unconscious-consciousness. His mind was foggy and he wasn't truly awake, this also meant he wasn't really asleep. He listened to Dex's words as though she were speaking from behind a closed door. Her words were faded and indistinct. However he did manage to listen to what she said. He shifted in his seat but kept his hand holding hers. His face turned to slump on his shoulder so that he was facing her. "I'll be alone..." he murmured in his groggy state. "I'll be in that dark," his brow furrowed and he gripped her hand tighter, "I don't want to go back there... You can't make me." Softly the man trembled in his chair. His mind wandered to her next question, leaving the darkness behind. He shifted again and murmured, "I don't want anyone... Already have someone pretty." He didn't say who though, his answer was vague. However, he continued to hold her hand as though it was his only link back to reality. A small grin turned the edge of his lip up, "Nothings for sure. I can't promise anything." He let out a yawn before murmuring once more, "But if you leave me. I'll find you. You think you can hurt me. I can take it. I'll find you."

Listening quietly, Valerie brushed his cheek softly with her free hand and then laid back. "She's one lucky girl," she commented quietly, closing her eyes in thought. Taking a deep breath, she smiled slightly, the smile quickly changing to a soft smirk. "You'll only find me if I want you to." She gave his hand a reassuring squeeze before placing a cold hand on his cheek. Smiling, she took a slow, deep breath. "Rest up. Please. But if you don't want to be alone, I'll make sure you aren't." Once again leaning back, she pulled his coat closer around her body and decided that, finally - finally - she would let sleep take over.

William smiled softly, peaceful at the words she had spoken. Whether or not those actually registered in his conscious mind was a different story. However, for now they sat innocently with one another. Like children in their comfort and the quiet that surrounded them. In his mind he thought of the 'lucky girl' he had spoken of. Ivy green eyes, a witty smile, dark hair and beautiful features. He grinned deeper and relaxed. He wouldn't speak of this out loud. Not yet. Not even if he really remembered that he had thought such things when he was awake. This was nice, this was simple. He'd let it be.

Hours passed as Emili sat in the waiting room. The three Bio-Agents were in the recovery room. Despite Ghost Town's bravado, he really had needed his rest. She, however, didn't need rest. She was still waiting for them where they had left her. Time doesn't pass in the same way for an AI though. She found herself calculating outcomes and algorithms in her mind to pass the time. She pondered the mystery that was her own existence. She also pondered the strange looks that seemed to pass between Dex and Ghost Town, the way they talked to one another, the hidden meaning in their words. She wasn't sure what it was, but she knew the two were connected.
Her mind wandered to Shepard and the way he looked at her. It was strange to see those eyes looking at the AI the way they did. Almost in the same fashion Ghost Town did to Dex. This unnerved the AI. How was she supposed to return those looks? Was she supposed to return them? Was she even capable of doing so? She frowned heavily until a presence at the end of the room caught her attention. It was Gloria, the woman looking rather coldly at the AI.
Emili lifted a brow at her and sat up straight, "May I help you Gloria?"
The woman strode closer, her gray eyes steely as they passed over Emili's body. She stopped in front of the AI and hissed softly, "I know what you are."
Emili stared up in surprise, "Excuse me?"
"I know why Henry sent you along with my son and the Patriots. You aren't her. You never will be," Gloria bristled.
Emili looked bewildered, "Gloria, I don't understand you meaning. Please clarify."
"Emily," Gloria snarled.
Emili didn't know what to say. What could she mean? She frowned and tilted her head, "I still don't understand. I am Emili, am I not?"
"Oh don't pretend like you don't know," Gloria spat. Emili shook her head softly. "Henry sent you here because of who he thinks you are, but you're not her. You're not my daughter."
Emili's mouth hung open, "Now hold on a sec-"
"No!" Gloria interjected, "You're not her! Stay away from William, Valerie and Daniel. Henry thinks he can cause me more harm by trying to bring back to life my dead daughter. He's wrong. You're not her and you never will be." She turned from the AI and began to stomp away, "Don't you dare do anything that would harm my son or his team. Its in your programming whether you know it or not. You will betray them."
Emili watched the woman leave, unable to comprehend what just happened.

OOC; Since a few hours have passed you can go ahead and wake up and leave recovery if you want ;D
