William raced to the body that housed Emili when she was not the Panthera. Cables and wires protruded from the back of her head and spine. A deep growl escaped William as he reached for the closest ones. Emili's worried voice sounded around him, "Ghost Town, get back to the escape pod. I will be fine. Your lives are worth more than mine. Get moving."
William snarled back, "I'm not leaving another Patriot behind!" He yanked on the wires and cables, not caring if it were going to do any damage.
"Ghost Town! What are you doing?! If you disconnect those wires before my conscious is fully downloaded I will not be able to have full functionality and I won't be able to access most of my memory banks!" Emili's frantic voice pounded at William's ears. However the man had no choice, it was either take her now or leave her to die. He certainly wasn't going to take the latter. As he pulled off the last cable Emili's voice ring, "Launching escape pod one now. 3 of 5 crew members aboard. All other personnel please make their way to escape pod two." He and hoisted the body on to his shoulder, grunting with effort. William felt the weight of the metal skeleton and power core weigh him down more than he thought it would. He gasped for air under the pressure it took to carry the android-like body. Turning he made his way back to the hatch.
Climbing down carefully he made his way back toward the escape pod. He prayed that the EMP would take another few moments to power up. Just as Emili's voice had said, escape pod one was prepping to launch. Hurrying, he raced as fast as he could to get back. Just before he was in range the pod door closed and locked shut. William growled in anger. He heard as the shuttle launched itself from the Panthera, its destination was the Earth below. Turning he made his way to the second escape pod and hooked Emili in one of the shuttle's seats. She had yet to awaken, that was a bad sign.
"Emili," William called out, "Launch escape pod two!"
She did not reply to him right away which only served to cause the man to begin to panic. After a moment, he heard Emili's somber voice say, "Goodbye Ghost Town." With that the pod closed and he felt a rush as he was launched from the vessel. Looking out the window of the pod he saw the Panthera continue to rush away, the enemy fighter not bothering to change its course. The fighter itself was glowing a blue hew in color. After a moment a shockwave erupted from the fighter and sliced outward, catching the Panthera and everything else in a spherical radius in its attack. The Panthera bucked and faltered before tipping forward and crashing toward the Earth like a downed bird, the fighter doing the same as well. Both escape pods were caught in the pulse, no machine was going to be impervious to this attack. Power stopped in the pod, causing gravity to quickly pull the two pods down. Just as William figured that they'd all be dead, crushed against the ground in a rather messy pile, parachutes and ancient styled thrusters began to slow the decent of the pods. William let out a whoop of joy when he realized they weren't all going to die, at least for now.

Daniel's eyes widened as he watched the ship go down. The pod shook from the wave of the EMP, but with no complete damage, it had slowed down as the thrusters kicked in, very much like the pod Ghost Town was in. Daniel's fingers twitched as he looked down at his hands, which were placed on his lap. His lips moved as if he were muttering, but no sound was made. They're alright. THe second escape pod was launched. THey are fine... Even as he tried to reassure himself, his thoughts traveled back to the thought of, 'what if one of them were left behind?'. His body stiffened as the thought passed through his subconscious. His hands clotched his knees tightly, digging his nails into his pants as he thought about if Emili didn't make it out of the ship. She did... She did... His thoughts repeated, like a broken record.

OOC: There goes our kick-butt ship. DX XD

With a startled cry, Valerie watched as the Panthera fell like a broken bird to the ground. Watching the other escape pod fly off gave her some twisted sort of hope - but still, she was afraid. Letting out a long string of curses, she pounded her fist on the wall. "Don't you dare die, Ghost Town! I'll never forgive you!" she shouted violently, a frightened scowl placing itself on her face. Her mind was completely blank - all that filled her mind were pictures of the Panthera falling - of the second escape pod disengaging. Of a bright light. A strangled cry escaped her lip and he held her head in her hands. Looking towards Shepard, she barked, "I put you in charge, fool! No matter what happened we must complete our mission!" Valerie was on a sort of auto pilot as she stood and wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands. Staring at the backs of her hands, her nose crinkled in disgust. "Get up."

William felt the escape pod around him shudder and shake as the parachute and the ancient thrusters attempt to slow their decent. His hands pressed against the glass and his eyes widened as he watched his companion's pod fall in the opposite direction of his. His heart pounded in his chest and he slammed his fist against the window, "Dex! Shepard!" His shoulders tensed, he knew they couldn't hear him, how could they? William turned toward Emili, the AI was still turned off, not a good sign. The man growled and looked back out the window, Earth was dangerously close now. The speed they were going at was going to cause some sort of injury. Fear gripped him, but only for a moment. It faded softly and he felt his heart rate decrease. This could be the end. Why should he fear it? He had dodged death more than most had at his age.
William's brown eyes softened for a moment, his voice whispering softly, "Is this that hero's death you were talking about Dex?" Acceptance filled him as the pod crashed to the Earth. Counting mentally the time it would take to hit the ground, William sighed. Five. Four. Three. Two. One.

Nothing... There was nothing she could see. Where was she? Who was she? Light blinded her for a moment. A strange crackling and hissing sound caught her ears as her eyes adjusted to the light.  She saw wreckage around her. It looked as if something had crashed here but she did not know way. Fire crackled around her and bits of harsh metal protruded from the groun. Her vision blurred and fizzed for a moment before words flashed across her eyes. Systems error. Memory error. Malfunction. Malfunction.
These words flashed across her vision, she was scared. Curing in to a ball she shouted, "Stop! Make it stop!"
A voice sounded near her, "E-emili?" The voice sounded raspy, soft as if only awaking. Her eyes desperately searched for the source of the voice. Sitting up she saw a body crumpled on the floor. Dark hair, dark clothing, pale skin, he looked strong. She felt as though she should know him. Why did she feel that?
Words flashed across her eyes again. William. Was that the man? William? She crawled toward him, blood and dirt covered his face. She reached forward, her arms feeling heavy. She touched his brow, he flinched. Softly she said, "W-william?" His eyes fluttered a moment, he groaned before he reached for her hand. She flinched away.
"I... prefer... Ghost Town..." he breathed before closing his eyes and fading away before her. Fear filled her. Was he dead? No... The words across her vision told her that he was alive, barely, but he was. She reached forward and gripped his shoulder and pulled him close. She cradled him against her chest, it felt as though tears should be falling from her eyes, she sobbed but her eyes were dry. Where was she? Who was she? She knew this man was the one with the answers and she was afraid of letting him go.

OOC: Your guys' pod can crash too ;D

OOC:I know Goldie, I know. ;~;

Daniel lifted his gaze up to Dex. His hands twitched, as the feeling of wanting to strangle her rushed through his mind. "They could be dead..." His words escaped his lips as he watched through the window, the other pod flying in the opposite direction and hitting the ground. Daniel's fingers gripped the arms of the seat as he thought of what they were going to do, because they couldn't get to NAGA in time. His thoughts lingered back to the idea that Emili and Ghost Town could have not survived. Now the burden of commander was bestowed on him by Dex. Daniel felt sick, bile rising in his throat. He quickly covered his lips with both hands, and swallowed the bile, the most unpleasant experience he had, next to the situation that was happening. Slowly placing his hands in his lap, the pod soon hit the ground. The inside shook, which made Daniel exclaim something incohierent, but certainly he meant for it to be a curse.

Voices, there were voices around her, faint at first but now louder. Fear entered her, what was she supposed to do? This man, William, he was hurt in her arms. What could she do? The voices were getting closer, could she fight them? No. She didn't know how. She would be dead if they found her, that much she knew. Could she help the man? No. She didn't know how. He was badly hurt and she was useless. Anger and frustration filled her.
Words flashed across her vision. Objective: Find Lost Crew-mates. The words registered with her mind and she knew what she must do. The compulsion to fulfill this objective was stronger than anything she had felt before. Not that she felt much. The only thing she could remember was awaking to find debris and fire around her. Whatever had had was traumatic and she couldn't remember what it was that did happen. The man in her arms was unconscious, she could tell by the words flashing across her vision that there was nothing she could do to help and if that was the case he was going to die.
Anger again flooded her. Words and numbers crossed her vision until she saw the vitals of three individuals. Curious, she looked further. Two men and one woman, their signatures registering familiarity. The objective flashed in her mind, she had to find them. The words told her that they were far away from her. Perhaps one of them knew how to help William. The voices around her grew louder. She had to leave. Dragging the unconscious man to a hiding spot behind an outcropping of trees, she left him. Taking a look around she realized she was in a forest. Dense trees and vegetation surrounded her. This didn't stop her from wanting to fulfill the objective. Taking one last look to where she had left William, she turned and left. Not knowing her connection to the man, nor her own name. She had to fulfill the objective if only to save that man who might know who she was.

Shoving the door open, Valerie took a deep breath, choking on a cough as all she inhaled was smoke. Stifling the cough and ignoring the burning sensation in her throat, she fanned a hand in front of her face as if it would clear the smoke. As the smoke quickly faded - an interjection of, "Thank goodness!" - Valerie took quick recon of her surroundings to make sure that they were safe. "I'm surprised the smoke didn't last longer under the protection of these trees," murmured Valerie as she wiped imaginary dust off her pants. Barely any light made it through the branches and when it finally did, it was dull and faded, as if tired. Exactly how she felt right then and there. Rubbing her the heels of her hands into her eyes, she groaned as a string of curses escaped her lips - "Sorry, it's become a force-of-habit" - and she felt no breezes touching the sticky back of her neck that would have shined with the sheen of sweat covering it from her worry. Stomping her foot on the ground Valerie hissed at the slight, sharp pain that was emitted from the action and she reasoned that she probably broke a toe from kicking the wall of the escape pod in her panic.

Daniel was on the floor of the pod when he awoke. The impact forced him out of his chair, and face-first on the ground. Daniel sat up and rubbed his sore cheek, which has a purple and black bruise. It stung when he touched it, so immediately he placed his hadn down. Suddenly, he remember what had just happened. "Ghost Town... Emili!" He jerked his head up to look at Dex, his own expression like a frightened child. "They can't be that far off! We have to-" He stood up, then faltered and fell to one knee. He pressed his palm against his forehead, and he grit his teeth. Daniel then rose slowly, and walked foreward to Dex. "We have to find them, and soon."

Watching him fall to one knee, she frowned and placed a hand to grip his chin, holding it so he couldn't move his head. Holding up her free hand, she began a concussion test. When finished, she sighed. Cracking her joints, Valerie looked at him seriously. "You have a concussion and Foster looks like his arm is broken." Holding up a hand, she took a deep breath once more. "I know we need to find them, and soon, but some part of my foot is broken, he has a broken arm and you're covered in bruises and you have a concussion. We're not in the best of shape. If we leave, it's a risk to our health." Pausing, she clasped her hands in front of her. "I want to find them just as badly as you do, Shepard. But - just... Expect the worst."
